london_callinghey just to point something out to "newer" open teams: it gets better later in the season. around the time of cp_metalworks, they start matching teams up to teams with similar records. keep practicing and scrimming and you'll find yourself better prepared for teams that are at your level or around it.

i mean, moose fortress lost almost all their matches in the first couple weeks of season 11 because of a tough schedule, and then turned around with a 10 game winning streak that put them in the top 10, made playoffs, and then made it to IM. it can happen to anybody.

Being told to look forward to metal works would make me even sadder

its been above like 70 all winter up until this past week, we finally dropped to 30-35 in the morning and mid 50's-low 60's the rest of the day

back on topic for a short period... we got murdered 3-0 1st half in our match (it was 2 players 1st esea match and another's like 3rd match) so it was pretty rough since our play completely changed and we hesitated too much to react to what was going on.

frustration happened on all of our parts throughout the 1st half and during/after the break it was me expressing that its just a learning experience and to let go of what has happened and just play our game. picked up 2 rounds and ended up losing 5-2

i really feel it was a necessary experience for the team to get a better grasp on things and something to grow off of.

radiumgank and the meisters were once 4-4 - coming off of a loss to wtf. - and rallied to finish 10-6. gank's team is in IM right now.

Yeah we pretty much had the hardest starting schedule in open that season. The only reason we won a playoff match though was because it was viaduct and we had the best heavy in the game. We weren't even going to play in im this season until, at the last minute, killing promised the whole team freemium if we played. So we scraped together a team of friends and are now playing way out of our league in im. Turns out as well that what killing meant by "freemium for the whole team" was really only 2 one month codes after we had to show him screenshotted proof of his promise.

I like playing 6s but it's gonna be really hard to stay positive when your team has pretty much no chance of winning even one match. I guess the best thing to do if you're in a similar situation is to just accept where you're at as a team and realize that getting better is a slow and time-consuming process. No need to get mad and frustrated over losing because I think the goal of a team should be improving as much as possible over the course of a season, not necessarily getting a bunch of wins. Of course I could just be making heartfelt excuses because I'm bad. But yeah if you had fun you won.

eulogy_dflameI got pretty frustrated at half time and got up from my chair, went to the bathroom, washed my hands under warm water (hands were really cold), stretched my arms and legs and got back into the game. It really helped me and I felt a lot better the second half.
didn't ur hands just get colder?

maybe im weird, i use cold water when i wash my hands when they are cold or ill grab some ice and freeze them for a short period (basically "shock" them to get blood flow) so when they come back to room temperature it isn't that cold to me anymore

They felt colder after a while but not right away. Maybe I will try what you said here.
