A friend of mine has to give me a csgo demo that he wants edited but I dont have the game. Is there any way to play it without the game on some external program or downloading the game folder and keeping everything offline just to use the demoui? Or any other method that does not involve buying the game just to record the demo?

He could do the steam game sharing thing with you so you can use the game without buying it
