I know that they're really good, but it's not like they have some godlike super powers. You yourself have 5000 hours, not sure it'd be too hard for you to practice with your partner a lot and get as good as them.

takes nothing more but being good at mge and hoping your medic can heal you with crossbows.
the reason why timus almost won mike wasn't because he is a "god" ultiduo player, but because he is a great mge player.
and that's the only reason why Mike won, it was probably the first time that he played ultiduo with mirelin.

so your proposal of practicing with a partner won't change the fact that he has better dm abilities than everyone who decided to sign up for the lower tier instead of the higher.

for future reference if you do a tournament like this again then maybe you should be more specific as to what classifies as low tier (example: saying that you can't play if you have 2500hrs+ or above mid). i've never played ultiduo before so i have no idea what its like, but judging by the mgeing some the of people that applied for the low tier there aren't any people sandbagging apart from maybe the obvious alt, but its unknown if hes good or not.

What I meant by people should practice, is that Timus isn't so much better than everyone else that there's no point in challenging. Could you honestly say Timus has the best dm in EU? I'm not sure you could, maybe though.

If people found a medic they could work well with, practicing to make their game seamless would give them a chance against the current best. I'm sure some prem combo could challenge them. Perhaps they just don't have time, idk.

Yeah I'll totally take that on board. This is the 3rd time I've done this, and each time they've got bigger, so the skill-gap was becoming huge, hence the split tier. If there is a next time I'll be sure to be more exact about the entry-requirements, but for now I'm unsure if it's worth the effort just for a few people.

Timus always wins because of his dm he's one of the best in ammomod as well so doesn't matter what maps there are. He and syncing also practice regularly so if you want to beat them you'd have to practice ultiduo every day and play mge everyday and nobody wants to do that so unless some massive mge/dm lord will play Timus will win every ultiduo tournament.

I spoke to Timus and they hardly practice Ultiduo at all, just like a warmup game before each tournament, so I guess it just comes to dm like you said.

Yeah I know they've played Ultiduo lots which is why I'm trying to say. They're good because they've practiced a lot in the past, and they still train in dm. The point I'm trying to make is that anyone, with enough time could challenge them, and it wouldn't take prem players too long to get there.

i don't know dude there was a time were i'd play against him every day for like a year/half a year and i was never any closer to beating him than the day before and its the same with most people (i've seen multiple people take screenshots of themselves getting 10-15 kills on him and acting like that's impressive because its pretty difficult to even get 1 frag on him.) .i've never seen him lose a game of mge even vs mike and he 20-0s some prem players so really it makes sense that anyone who isn't prem would rather not play against him. also i heard he plays ultiduo like he plays mge and if you've ever played vs timus in mge you know how passive he can be.
having 8 in the upper tier is better in my opinion because it reduces how many times we watch someone get completely steamrolled (if this is being streamed) and the 8 in the bracket with people like kaptain we will see some close and exciting games.
