Shouldn't they just do like a "Top 10 of the last 6 months" or something? Otherwise I don't see how they're going to catch up unless they get more people working on it.

That being said, great watch as usual!

As long as they get more than one out a month I think this way is totally fine.

That would be the same amount of demos to watch.. Tbh I think they do an amazing job going thru all the demos of the month and choosing the better plays. However, I agree they need additional staff to review the demos, whose amount should be increasing with time.

Never really understood the ordering of the clips(1-10), seems like some higher number clips were better than some of the lower number...

Less kritz please.

i mute these most of the time because of the annoying custom sound effects. and to be fair, as nice of a guy as he is, extine's voice can be grating after a little while. :(

We don't need more people to review demos. We have demos reviewed up to November I think. It just takes a while to make the video itself (editing, voice over, blah blah blah)

the problem is that it takes a defined period of like 2 weeks of editing and 1 week of sound mixing to make each video, which (if everything else goes perfectly) still means there will be a month between vids, making it impossible to catch up

they really just need to do a faster, less complicated edit for a few months and then switch back once they've caught up

Pretty solid, though the explosions/shots were so much louder than the rest of the audio.

I think the crit plays and lucky shots are fine, we don't see the value on them as we can tell that it doesn't take that much skill to make them and is more of a right circumstance thing, but they are valuable to the non-competitive player who just finds that a crit demo destroying a whole clustered HL team is awesome.
And that's actually the kind of audience that eXtv has to target, because they're the guys we'd like to get into comp tf2; we are already on it, no need to blow our own horns. I think that's also the profile of the common subscriber of the CommFT youtube channel too.

And that's how I got into comp tf2 btw.

Agreed. Moments of Glory are not always Moments of Skill. Gotta rip your mind out of the sport and enjoy the spectacle for a few minutes. Spectacles are also much more accessible than the sport itself.

Damn, I should actually finish reading Barthes now.
