Starting a Low Open Team

Me and a friend have been interested in getting into comp for ages, we'd like to start a team together from the bottom. Looking for players who want to practice as much as possible and are not the largest of jerks.

I'm up for roamer, pocket, or demo, depends who shows up.

My friend: Lopez can't find his car keys, is going to play medic.

I disagree. You're honestly telling me that your first season of 6v6 would have been better if you just played open instead??? You would (probably) get rolled every match and wouldn't know where to start when it comes to improving. Honestly, I suggest playing 1 season of ugc 6's to get your feet wet and then play esea. That's what I did and I'm pretty happy I did it. My first iron season let me know if I liked comp tf2 to actually practice and improve (6v6 has a sizable learning curve ya know) and I improved enough to compete at an open level next season.

follow your dreams

but yeah esea probably isnt worth the money though if you're not familiar with competitive. if you feel like UGC would be a better fit for you, you should post here and find people here

good luck have fun :)

I'm very into competetive as far as the format, and I feel like my dm is good enough to participate at the skill level of ESEA Open (at least i hope). The thing that I'm not sure about is the teamwork factor, and I guess in that respect it would make a lot more sense to not bet money on our sucess.

Honeslty i think he meant play esea not ugc because if you played open once why would you go to ugc unless you are gona play both.
