I am never in any rush to get to titles on the day of release and normally wait until the steam sales. If you are desperate for it buy it but i never would shell out £30 of a game.

prestige"Thank you for choosing Uplay" yeah it was a choice

reminds me of when I got far cry 3 for $7 (it looked fun watching my friends play it in the dorms on the xbox 360). I bought it on steam, installed it, and it immediately launched uplay so I could play the game. This is what I got whenever I wanted to play single player:

http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/504698028972459692/3A69EA9D336B07476D6680B5C4047E245B575B50/

I uninstalled the game immediately afterwards. But seriously I don't see the point in buying a game on steam to have it launch another service such as uplay or origin on top of steam to play a game. I miss when games were simpler without "season passes" and boatloads of DLC that costed almost as much as the game (I still can't see how people pay money for maps in a game); I could actually buy a game (for not $60) and enjoy it.

Also reminds me of how you have to connect to EA's (crappy) servers (that usually time out; it took over an hour to just get the training to load) to play the training mode. I'd have no issue with this if it actually worked more than 2/3 of the time.

Apparently, if you're having issues with performance, you can go offline on uPlay and voila, performance issues are gone.

It's sad so see people are giving this game shit for not being a straight upgrade of GTA in every aspect.

I'm 17 hours in and I still can't get enough of this game.
The optimization is bad but the game looks nice on medium/lower graphics too. It sure is fun as fuck to play anyways.

Also personally I haven't found Uplay to be all that bad. It's basically just a different launch window when you start the game so it hasn't actually "ruined" anything. At least for me.

Only thing I don't like other than the AMD cards optimization is vehicle handling which isn't THAT bad once you get used to it. But then again I figure this is only an issue on people playing with keyboards.

the complaints about the game seem pretty silly. "press x to hack" Isn't this how hacking was done in the E3 trailer? "awful physics" is a pretty hilarious complaint, but driving seems pretty bad.

I heard multiplayer was a blast? wish i had the money to buy this :<

GTA-likes aka "throw as many unpolished gameplay elements at you so you are diverted enough not to notice the mediocrity of every single thing"-games ... Nah, I'll just keep playing Wolfenstein, at least that game keeps it simple, and manages to focus well on one specific thing.

Can pretty much confirm all of this.

I just don't get what makes this game interesting in a world where GTA exists. Seems like just more of the same...

Is wolfenstien actually good? I just assumed every old school shooter reboot had to be terrible.

Because GTA is the only true open world game ever made and other open world games are bad if they're not GTA.

Just finished the campaign. It got a little repetitive at times but it was overall a fun experience. It followed similar methods to GTA and Saints Row but it gave it a nice twist with government conspiracies and the computerized world we live in today. Open world was huge. Cars looked more realistic. The details were much better than GTA/Saints. Also it was more of a puzzle base as opposed to just destroying everything in sight. You don't kill pedestrians you actually save them meaning you're a good guy in a weird way. Evading police wasn't as easy as it is in other games due to the helicopters. As long as you made it underground/off road or in a parking garage under cover you were hard to find but due to the massive size of the world it wasn't so easy to get there. Also depends on what difficulty you're playing on. Overall story was 6 out of 10. Would've made more sense to have him married with kids and thats who he was avenging. It wasn't incredibly easy either in my opinion even on normal difficulty as opposed to Saints Row which was so much easier in comparison. It also wasn't too short which was nice. Obtaining the best weapons wasn't too difficult either even early on. The ending could've been better as well but it was definitely done purposely to setup for the sequel. That was very obvious. I don't agree with people saying the physics were bad I think they were good just maybe not what you had hoped. Some physics will always rub people the wrong way because it is a video game after all and not real life. It has to be playable and enjoyable. There's 0 aerial missions in the game. I didn't like how you couldn't customize the character much. All in all though it's definitely worth the buy in my opinion, the question is do you want it now and pay full price or wait for it to go on sale. The first few missions were a tad boring but once you get into it you don't want to stop until you see what happens next. Kind of like reading a good book. It might not've been as ground breaking as we had hoped but it's definitely going to be done better in the sequels which i'm pretty excited for. They did incorporate a lot of new cool ideas into the game. Hope this helps people torn in the middle of whether or not they want to try it.

Damn hackers. Whats spookier is that a lot of this "video game" could actually be realistic in todays society. Edward Snowden made light of that. The entire "one world government illuminati conspiracy" is what this game kind of reminds me of. Total control of the masses by the elite.

This is one video game I won't regret buying. I regret buying DayZ. I guess everyone's different.
