smakersYouMustMikeI think the general problem with this thread is that it's not specified whether or not this is a specific warning or whether or not this is an expression of the general rule TFTV is going to follow.

In the case of specific targeting, asking we want fuck and mason's team to change their names privately would've been better and ultimately would probably arrive at a solution without the appearance of forcing anyone's hand.

In the case of the general rule as to why some matches aren't being casted I feel like this should've been some kind of article or included in some kind of rule post. This kind of nonchalant forum post doesn't really give the authority it deserves and appears to me, at least, to be directed mainly at the two Main teams mentioned above.

In short, think before you post.

Not to poop in your cheerios, but there is no "general problem" with this thread. The OP was straightforward and should not have warranted a debate. It was pretty clear that nobody was asking/begging/forcing anyone to change team names--the OP simply said that Fog and crew will not be casting any games if your team name is deemed inappropriate for the cast. Simple.

I personally use offensive language, I know I shouldn't, and I am personally trying to curb my usage. However, it is only due to wanting to BE TAKEN MORE SERIOUSLY, and though I do not personally judge others for using bad language, it can come off as childish, and I don't want to give that off. Your team name is everyone's impression of you, and coming from a team named "Trash" gives me plenty of insight into this. In the same light I can see why a team might name themselves something such as "We want fuck", however, if we want to appear at all serious, we can't have casters saying stuff like "Will We want fuck push out of last?". Though it may be funny to hear, you have to imagine the impression it will leave on a new watcher. I think it is a smart move of TF.TV to do this for reasons other than the Twitch rules, but moreso to avoid scaring off new viewers. This isn't to say that I won't giggle when I hear that "We want fuck" is pushing into AG's Flank, or aomething similar, just to say that I don't want a first time viewer to hear that.
