20% inflation?

What?

I dont see any reason they would have to raise up the prices to play in this league.

1. The choice for servers during week days match is ridiculous.
2. Prize money is -_-

54 players * $60 = $3240

Make of that what you will

$60 for the season, plus invite doesn't pay the $6.95 premium (monthly fee)

it's not like $60 is particularly expensive for a hobby.

true, like people who are into figurines regularly drop $100+ on them

it's all in perspective, really: if you have a job, $60 is like a few days/few hours of work depending on income level. like i can make back 60 in 3-4 days, so even though it's not something i theoretically would wanna spend money on, it's not really something that breaks the bank

how does the prize pot effect u? have you ever won money from esea?

no, i know you havent so how much have you spent on this hobby? giving money to people who are giving you no benefit at all, other then to the top players, who are hardly even making money

surprisingly some people are willing to put into prize pots even though they probably won't win any of it

the fact that esea even has one is definitely the defining difference between etf2l and esea, because there is some kind of reward to it

if you don't want to pay for your hobby that's fine by me but you sound like an underinformed child who refuses to listen to the other side's arguments

Marmieno benefit at all

they provide shit tons of mostly decent servers
they have a good pug system (unused by tf2 players but is nice for cs:go)
they host a fucking LAN

yeah its hard to make a gain if you're not invite level, but the game would probably die without esea

Stop saying that dumb argument that the game will die without ESEA. That is the biggest hyperbole I have ever heard. The game is alive because of the community. The proof is in the fact that we gives tons of money every year to get teams to LAN. The fact that they have a LAN might actually be worse for this game anymore, it's becoming harder and harder every year to fund 4 teams to Dallas.

oh this is fun, so lemme get this straight after your comment about 'esea never overtaking etf2l' which was incredibly stupid to begin with , do you honestly believe prem/invite players are playing TF2 for the money to begin with? or even players below that division? or do you really believe its all that concerning to anyone at all? if it was i don't think they would bother playing in ESEA

we're used to paying league fee's + premium that's the way it's been for quite some time, so before the season starts players know what they're getting into, if they win hey that's awesome get a little cash out of no big deal. as i'm sure you feel the same way going into etf2l and putting in the time and getting absolutely nothing in return

actually teams are asking for funding to get to (ESEA) lan less because of prize pot increases

the problem arises because we are sending teams to europe as well

why are you paying???? if im paying for a hobby such as tennis, i buy a new racquet to make myself better, just as i would buy a new mouse, you are paying an overpriced fee to play in a league that u are getting no benefits out of, i am playing in a league for free, only negatives of this league is that the prize pool is lower and there is no lan, if everyone in europe put 60 dollars we would have a huge prize pool, with 312 teams entering

and 60 dollars not much for a hobby?

lol you obviously dont work

if we were giving 60 dollars to etf2l every season 112320 dollar prize pool.

this is alot of money u guys are talking about
