Just cause I live in America doesn't mean I'm American

on that note is it possible to change my flag?

also I think you underestimate the value of the 4th place trophy, showstopper. Way better than winning the silly league

as a Barca fan, thank god that Ozil is no longer at Madrid (even with them getting Bale)

I think our money may have been better spent elsewhere, maybe in a back or in a defensive midfielder.

Not complaining though, Ozil is a great player. Also with Goetze being amazing he'll have less opportunities with the national team where he could get injured.

Now I am ashamed of being a real madrid fan. Remember when they sold robben? Same will happen with Ozil. I hope he does great in england.

I disagree. We got Flamini as cover for midfield and our defense has depth. Monreal/Gibbs and Sagna/Jenkinson and the Kosc/Verm/Merte rotation has proven to be successful with us having the second best defense in the league last year.

Especially considering Podolski and Oxlade's injuries I think our biggest gaps were in wing/cf positions, and by moving Cazorla to the wing via Ozil we get to rotate everyone around for cover

Perfect signing imo

Madrid BADLY overpaid for Bale, and now they're selling Mesut (who played well in a white shirt) in a desperate attempt to curb the costs. I just don't see how that Madrid team is going to work with TWO ball-needy wingers playing opposite of each other. Spurs made BANK from the whole Bale situation, and they will be able to replenish their entire side with the money they received.

Spurs also made a NICE signing in acquiring the service of Ajax starlet Christian Eriksen. He's a young AM that will serve that club very well. Spurs have done very good business in the past two calendar years - and will have a young core of Lamela, Eriksen, Vertonghen, and Holtby to build around. Picking up Lloris from Lyon was also a NICE signing that helped answer the question "who is the future at GK for Spurs?".

Spurs might huff and puff for 4th, but no one can fault them for a lack of effort.

Madrid overpaid for Bale sure, but I don't think Ozil's sale was an attempt to curb the costs. Ozil is arguably the world's best CAM (lol at the guy who said he is overrated), but his style of play does not fit as well into the flanking attacks and now Isco's emergence. Apparently Man Utd offered 40 mill (10 less than Ozil) for Khedira, a player that is amazing no doubt, but dispensable because of the new signings.

Ozil's sale seems mainly tactical. Madrid do not give fucks about 'curbing' the cost. Bale fits the Galacticos perfectly, he is a British player who they haven't had in awhile, and is molded to be a superstar. He is young, very marketable, and is still quite good in his position. They will recover the costs based off that alone.
