zfnIn your config there's options for a bad gpu addon and a bad cpu addon, Are there any plans to make a "good cpu or gpu" addon, for commands which may be worth sacrificing fps for better hit reg or whatever?

For example, I see you have a beefy PC and are using net_splitrate 8, but the default in your config is net_splitrate 2. What are the advantages of this, and should we be doing the same if we can afford to?

The config by default is tuned for good CPUs and GPUs in mind. If your computer can do it, you can increase net_splitrate to speed up handling large packets.

EevoveThe net settings were a bit confusing, what interp should I use, different ones for hitscan and projectile or one for all?

The default should be fine for most cases. I don't recommend going to 0.0152 interp because it can be unreliable.

Hi, I think it's an issue with the ESEA client affecting FPS. Not sure if there is a way around it. Maayybe you can try to see if dx9 has less drops but I don't think it's an issue with dx8 (though it's worth a shot)!

The accounts have different settings stored in the Steam Cloud. It will switch between them.

Not true. Autoexec is automatically execd. That's the whole point.

OP, do you have Steam Cloud enabled?

Maybe they're set in your custom.cfg? Mastercomfig doesn't change those settings.

I think the minicrits are a bit of a nerf to Pyro, since they deal minicrit damage to her as well. It would buff blast jumping slightly with reflected projectiles if minicrits were removed. In my opinion, I think that sort of behavior should be encouraged and would make Pyro a lot more interesting.

mattThi sorry this might be a pleb question but to switch from one cfg preset to another do I need to clean up my install again or can I just replace the old one with a new one? like can I just delete the medium preset cfg from my custom folder and put the medium-low in, or do I have to wipe my cloud files and everything again?

You don't need to clean your install once you're using mastercomfig. It's only if you want to reset your TF2 to default or if you go to another config.

Shaders are not included in my config. I don't think it's even possible to access or mod Source's built in shaders. It's specifically dx8's shaders.

fizzwhizTurns out that textures_low still gives a higher fps, on my system at least. To those who are using any of the new Medium presets, how is the fps since the new higher default texture quality? I know I can just activate the textures_low preset automatically but since many who use the comp preset are likely not to have "modern hardware", I think it can still be considered an improvement to revert to the old default? Some input from other users would help.

There's a fix for this coming in an upcoming update.
