Ringo__Starrwhen stickies got nerfed i first thought nothing could be better but over time it honestly just made the game 10x less fun to play

all that needed to be changed about stickies was the 1 sticky ohko on a full health unbuffed scout, thats about it

thank you for eventually coming around to the side of the angels

Hi Valve, if you are here right now watching this you can clearly tell that the Demoman class is not very strong. If a high level player like Bren can barely do 5k damage something is very wrong. Thank you for reading

cnsmhighfivei feel like most people who complain about current demo are just bad at demoPeople's ability to play demo does not change the fact that he needs a glock.

obviously in a competitive ruleset in which you're allowed 2 of every combat hero except for demoman, he gets the short end of the stick. the reason demoman was limited to 1 in the first place is his ridiculous control over the game.

it's unlikely valve will balance the game around an arbitrary ruleset of "class limit 2, except for medic, demo, engineer, or heavy" or whatever the accepted ruleset is

I've always hoped valve could see the value in class limit 2 for offense, class limit 1 for defense/support. Let's us keep our meta without overcomplicating the class limits.

even though this is satire, the real way to fix demo (consequently tf2) would be to remove the ability to sticky trap, but to play around with slightly increasing the sticky radius/damage. imagine a game of tf2 where you can do much more aggress plays and pushes because there are no traps.

anyone who thinks prenerf demo would make tf2 more fun honestly just doesn't understand how the game works; it's even harder to play aggressive because demo's can just do even more damage at chokes after their traps. the single counterargument that it would/did speed up the game is that the demo on the offensive side could deal a ton of damage, but on most points/chokes, the defending team has an inherent advantage of being able to hold.

Caelithe nerf itself was good imo. The only problem was that it favoured scouts way too much and now they can roam free and meatshot everything on their way.
The next logical step is to nerf the scattergun, but they will never touch the scout...

give scout a grenade launcher and demo a scattergun

ComangliaAmongst other changes demo need they really should remove the random tumble and spin the demo projectiles have

Among other changes they should fix stickies since this is still a problem:
http://www.teamfortress.tv/34938/demoman-detonation-delay

There have been times where I've shot stickies but couldn't detonate them very quickly because I had my bottle out. This problem, in turn, causes the evil scoutspawn that terrorize my online gameplay experience to advance towards me in a straight line.
