Honestly... I would watch out, you could see thousands of people lose their accounts soon.

And I say this because,

Someone now one knows anything about(!), comes here claiming they are a team (!) creating a massive webpage, similar to some that exist already (!), specifically states that they bought a 300$ anti cheat program to be run server side that will 100% detect (!), with 5000 gameservers possibility (!).

As paypal loves to say, it sounds too good to be true. Maybe if this were cs go or dota, but this is tf2. Also, for someone with this big of a project in hand, the proffesionality is not what you would expect.

Anyways, as someone else said, I will be watching out closely when logging in. Remember that when you logiun through steam, they don't get the password but an 'open' key, so all you need to watch out is that when you login, it's https and verified steam. (I think?)

NikkX-senpai | TF2GamesIt is up to 5000 servers actually. Our team member have been going and spreading that information without "up to" and that might cause some misunderstandings. We have ability to run 5000 servers but that will be an absolute limit. We have no intentions to run less or much more servers that are required. Most likely (really most likely) those 5000 servers will be too much so we will run fewer better working ones. Still we will host enough servers all around the world to fulfill the needs of TF2G and each game. People who want to play the game casually most likely would choose public servers over ours.

Don't worry guys if we don't need 5000 shitty servers, they will "run fewer better working ones"

I've said more than too many times on Reddit and even in this thread that we are a TEAM. I, and no one, are behind this all alone. We do need a team to be able to make this happen. Maybe in the future you might understand how wonderful things people can make when they work as a team.

it's not a good business strategy to attack people who are asking about your past projects because it usually implies that you have none

there is absolutely no reason that someone with experience would want to hide it on a project as big as this

The main problem was already pointed out by Lange. WE don't know YOU or YOUR TEAM. Especially as you're praising all these costly features (5000 servers, 300$+ AC etc).

It's just hard to believe you unless there is some transparency of you and your team members. If you look at TF2C and TF2Pickup we state who our team is and what who does, so if any questions occur you can ask them/us. With TF2G we only have you here, who we don't know, so don't expect us to believe everything without any sort of proof.

How many pickup services gave information about their past projects before the releases? None? We receive questions about our knowledge because we promise more than just a comp matchmaking. What do you think past projects tell? If we worked on a health care project before, it has nothing to do with TF2 and won't convince anyone. I think all that matters is the future, although I can say that we've had projects before.

This exactly. It's not about you having made projects in the past. If you have the ability to do your work, nice. But not listing the team and just stating that you got one won't be enough to satisfy and make us believing you

TF2Center has a had a meet the team section for quite some time where they briefly discuss each member of the team, their role and their past experience/projects. Most people are just wanting something a bit more tangible than a list of promises.

Sounds like snake oil so far. 5000 servers and 300 dollar anti-cheat, which can detect cheats that are on clientside but is actually serverside but also clientside but doesn't need install? or maybe i'm being too confused?

Why would you need to spend so much time making 5000 gameservers? The TF2 Competitive community isn't this big, and all the serveme.tf servers aren't even occupied during the day. This 5000 number just sounds like clickbait scam. Something a kid with come up with. I'm pretty sure it's also very expensive to run Replays on all servers, and be able to have 6 live spectators constantly. And with 6 live spectators, what about ghosting? 8].

When a player leaves a game, they have 3 minutes to come back before abandoning? That's a bit little for a game that is so badly optimized. If my gaming laptop crashes TF2, it takes about 5 minutes to start up the game and launch the first game of the session. Don't do this CS:GO style..

"While the matchmaking is waiting for sub to register to the game, the player who left will be replaced by a bot, which is really advanced. I and few of my coder friends spent years to code it. Bot will have all the cosmetics that player had, as well as all the weapons."

Why is this needed? The normal TF2 bots on expert can actually do fine, and there's no need to have the same cosmetics, not really worth years of coding.. "Which is really advanced" doesn't tell us much, but I suppose that sentence is basically the summary of all your replies, as in "Trust me it just works and is supercool no proof needed"

Editing your own profile? "Now this is what everybody says is the greatest thing about this project." - Says who? Steam already has this, and why does "everybody" care more about backgrounds and profile modification than having a functioning lobby system?

You also go on about ranks which I don't even really know what to think about. Precise ranking in TF2 is next to impossible. You have to account for different classes, different teams and how they play together, different weapons and different playstyles, and there are plenty of things that are hard to track. You also say that ranking will be "kinda hidden" and will be "hard to bring up on the website", but you also say that you can join any game with any rank? Then why have a ranking system at all? If you can't see it and it's not actually used on the website for any back-end purposes, why have it? Are you just gonna display a division number next to peoples names without any background information?

Also the way that these devs respond to questions with either vague replies that don't give any actual answer, or downright hostility.

Will be excited to see how this plays out.

It also helps us put a name and face [sort of] to the project. We'd like to know the more human side of things I guess, we're quite a close-knit community so knowing who's helping you guys out definitely puts our mind at ease. Without something visual it's hard to get a grasp of the project with just some text. If you guys have worked on past projects even if they're not TF2-related they do give a good impression that you've produced something to fruition before.

There's all these people obviously interested in what you have to offer, why not reveal more to your potential customers?

also i'm not sure if starting off with 5000 servers straight away is a good idea.... since i doubt the competitive community isnt all going to be using them (maybe im completely wrong but i dont think the community is that large?)

wouldn't adding a smaller amount of servers first and then adding them in incrementally be a better and much safer approach incase you fail?

Okay, so, I generally don't reply to topics like this. In fact, I hardly reply to topics at all and just watch the forums, but here goes:

This is extremely fishy, as most others here have said. First off. 5000 servers have got to to cost an ASTRONOMICAL amount to keep up and running properly on a daily basis, and unless you're some sort of football-playing-king-in-space, I fail to see how you can have that much money just lying around to spend on a video game without expecting anything in return. Not to mention the 26(?) mumble servers you have around the world, which is a bit of overkill if you ask me, considering how you can have a MASSIVE amount of people shoved into one single root mumble, with many others in small channels. (TF2Centers mumble system.) Furthermore, you have NOT provided anything in regards to who YOU are or who your team is, despite this being the most requested thing of you is to just give us some form of identification.

I've been watching this thread since it started because it seemed like you really wanted to help us out and do this for us, since then, I've been severely dissappointed, because you've replied to nothing except for the posts saying that you're being sketchy, and when you do reply, it's either evasive or downright hostile. Like when Lange asked a simple question of asking you for a portfolio to show us your past projects, you dodged the question. And when he replied, you didn't.

I also decided to do some kind of research and look through your friends list, I figured since you have so many people on your team and if you guys are so proud of this project, they'd atleast follow your example and put the TF2G tag in their name, similar to how the ESEA and CEVO admins do. However, you're the only person who has such a tag, and nobody in your friends list as one either. While this likely may not be anything significant, it could also mean one of two things. 1) That you HAVE no team. Or 2) that you're team really doesn't give two shits about this project.

Just in case TL;DR. You're being evasive vague and you aren't answering our questions. Your team seems to be missing. You claim to have way more servers than you need, but haven't specified how they'd be fixed if an issue arises. Generally untrustworthy.

FYI most of team doesn't use Steam publicly. They either have hidden profiles or they are not using it at all.
Me and another person from the team is responsible for Steam group and answering to questions. The problem is that you don't know how things go here, so it's really difficult to chat with you about this.
But each person is dedicated to specific job. That's all I can say.

[quote=Lulzy]Okay, so, I generally don't reply to topics like this. In fact, I hardly reply to topics at all and just watch the forums, but here goes:

Could you explain why you can't list names of a single other person? The reason that we don't understand "how things go here" is because this is all abnormal. I'm last as to why you would be intentionally cryptic unless you were planning to scam the community.

I want your website to be a thing that is real, but this will never happen with your attitude.

I have to admit that I could get behind this if it weren't for the refusal to tell us about your team (we don't give a shit about Steam profiles, just give us names and maybe a bit about everyone - introduce yourselves) and the bizarre idea of having 5,000 TF2 servers and 26 Mumble servers, which everyone has mentioned is BEYOND excessive and implies a lack of true understanding of the competitive TF2 community.

takramTF2Games is a project that was originally started in 2013.
While the matchmaking is waiting for sub to register to the game, the player who left will be replaced by a bot, which is really advanced. I and few of my coder friends spent years to code it.

Amongst all the other points that have been made, there's this.
