Sponsor sites; does anybody visit them?

I'm genuinely curious if people visit team sponsor sites, like HRG. I just wonder how much support our community has given back to the sponsors that have given to us. Not blight or anything, but complexity did a lot, and a few others in the history of TF2. I know Area51 stayed in for awhile, EG was once in, and each of those provided some media for Tf2 didn't they? If you as an individual haven't been interested in visiting sponsorship sites of the top teams in any game in general, what would make you frequent them?

I used to hang around on 20id when they were around. I occasionally used coupons codes or w/e on their hosting sponsors.

i've been to their site 3 times

once during 20mt's reign and twice during current HRG's reign

it would have been 0 if they didn't sponsor tf2 teams

i've visited a ton of different sponsor sites just to see what they actually do or how many players they sponsor

half the time when I visit a sponsor website, the website itself is only like half finished; you'd be lucky if they showed the roster for all their teams

i think the only piece of content posted on the old eMg site was a story about some guy talking to Ozzy Osbourne for a few minutes

winout.net sponsored a 1.6 team at one point, I went to there site before and during because it had lots of helpful videos including map walk throughs, site take strategies, spam spots, and they hosted a grip of demos from LANs.

Sponsorship was pretty short lived if I recall.

here's a taste of some of their media:

edit: didn't know they did stuff for tf2 back in the day, tragic pov s9, very juicy

The site visits are nice, but the actual team sponsors are paying for exposure (i.e. their logo being shown in regards to the team winning stuff all over the net), not the visits. It's brand awareness.

The sponsors who understand that are the ones happy to plow bucket loads of money into esports. EG is particularly good in this regard.

Exactly, because the more brand presence and sounding a organization name becomes the more sponsors it will also eventually attract indirectly.

I remember back in the day, 7-8 years ago, team dignitas was probably the biggest sounding name in esports, with a really strong presence in a lot of games and everytime I saw someone tagged with dignitas, I knew they were a top player.

for funsies I googled HRG
dunno if this is because it's showing me different results, but b4nny's steam profile is on page 1, the ESEA team page is on page 1, there's a TFTV link on page 2, and HRG's actual website is on page 3

Yep. Searching now the HRG site is 5, the esea team page is 7, the teamfortress.tv schedule thing on the mix^ vs. HRG game in s14 is 20 and b4nnys profile is 41.

Also of note is that of 8 suggested related searches, hrg gaming and hrg tf2 are two of them.
