CooperMGEMikeso tame.. don't even think the language was that bad
It all depends on your standards, mate. In any way, the disdainful behaviour of our European TF2 elite towards their opponents in in-game chat put them far more into the vicinity of the proverbial brainless and penisless CoD slugs than I thought would be possible for representants of this friendly and accessible TF2 community. If you think that's the direction to go then good luck to you, sir. Makes you look like playing videogames is your remedy to compensate a micropenis.

long words dont make your argument correct

Analysis

Tzortziou has continued to consistently engage in behavior which violates the letter and spirit of the Summoner's Code. His tendency to engage in verbal abuse, insults and offensive behavior is unacceptable for any player (even if provoked). This behavior is especially harmful in a high-profile eSports competitor who should lead the community by example.

Ruling

Tzortziou has violated the Summoner's Code in a persistent fashion, and has therefore violated rules 10.2.7 and 10.2.9, and will be subject to penalties.

Competition Penalties

Tzortziou is:

Fined $1000 USD

"In recent months, Tzortziou has exhibited poor behavior, both in solo queue as well as on community streams. This behavior included, but was not limited to, in game harassment, verbal abuse, and general in game toxicity. Tzortziou was given multiple warnings by LCS officials, and despite acknowledging his behavior, he has made no subsequent steps to improve. He has received consistently more reports than any other LCS professional player, and also has the one of the highest harassment scores in the history of the LCS."

completely incomparable with what happened in the final.
our case was 5 mins of shittalk or less. you're fucking dumb if you think that is the reason tf2 isn't like mobas/sc2/csgo etc

I'd be curious to know if they even made sure an american team was actually going to go to i52 first. If not this is going to completely backfire and kill whatever's left of eu tf2.

What? Epsi reforming is sick if another international lan is on the way, but you can't make a continental super team and then be surprised when there's no competition from that continent.

If you already spoke to americans then all you had to say was "we did".

Why wouldn't Americans come though? Like the only thing in the way that I can see is no one wanting to organise it, but considering the amount of ambitious people in this community that doesn't seem very likely.

Last years fundraiser was already all planned and undergoing at this point in time (source)

Also adding the drama with esea almost dropping tf2 and all that, Im not sure we will see an international lan if people don't start preparing for it very soon

EU should make a super team, everyone at the moment is to keen on their all nationality teams instead of making teams to actually win.

If Knoxxx leaves TLR and you add in Zebbosai, you still get a stable top team and you can do this with others as well. As MIG lost bash, gear and mike you can still add good people from other teams to replace them, you'll fold a few in the process but EU TF2 have another team to compete.

Half of TLR is considering quitting, byte is done so it's 2/6. Even if what you described happened (it wouldn't in a million years), those teams would simply fight it out for 2nd place which is pretty dire for anyone interested in watching.

Good players still play, good games still happen at the top (fuck season 16). That's enough for most people.

Merilin, zebbo, You, beavern, wltrs, smzi, shadowburn, natural, Kal fucking ho, t-mac, tek, bullet, ryb.

There is a massive list of amazing players that can be the best I know it doesn't just work like that and stuff, but some of these players are massively carrying their teams and could do a lot better.

Ok, now I'm not on my phone.

EU TF2 isn't dead, but the players ambition certainly is, in S16 I was wondering what it would be like if Epsi folded and split themselves in to a few other teams, it would be good but then what is the point in that? It's just a cop out and doesn't get us anywhere.

We need people to actually have some ambition, when they make a team they need to think "can we compete with Epsilon?" if no, why?

Let's say with the two remaining from MiG, you have Kaidus and Smzi, Smzi is one of if not the best scout in Europe right now, and kaidus is still the best demo out there.

Add that with Merilin, Zebbo, Kalho, Kiler and you tell me that team can't compete with Epsilon.

Bonus rounds: Bulle, Ryb, Natural, T-Mac, Beavern, GF18

TLR Reform: Merilin, HYS, Zebbo, Kalho, Kiler, Rake

Featuring noobs: Bulle, Ryb, Kaptain, Tek, HerrP, Beavern

And I ain't even trying. The only thing that is stopping teams like these forming is peoples drive to actually win.

WARHURYEAHWe need people to actually have some ambition, when they make a team they need to think "can we compete with Epsilon?" if no, why?

It's a lack of leadership. Screwing Infused hasn't exactly helped, but the fact there's only been one other org interested in competing in the scene recently anyway tells you what you need to know. The rewards aren't there for ambitious individuals/orgs.

I don't think there's actually a need for an org though, let's be honest we can provide our own servers through serveme.tf now, and LANs don't happen enough any more for there to be a point on approaching them.

For orgs to be interested there needs to be a team that is truley interested in progressing and have ambition, you're also forgetting that there is AWS, TLR, GG.WWPRO and fenneks in prem as well as Epsilon. TCM would have maybe joined in if TSE had taken 2nd in S16. So there is actually interested parties but I also believe that orgs not being really relied on any more is a key factor.

But Slick seems to be the only person putting in the effort to create the strongest team possible. The lack of people willing to do the same from within the game or without is why Epsi have such an easy ride.

With Infused I think you'd credit Dunc with most of it, but that and TCM is the point - they're only interested in a proven winner, and if there's no leadership in the scene then it's not going to come from anywhere else.

What I'm getting at is it's the person at the top of a team or org who sets the tone and direction. You're right it's a lack of ambition but it has to come in the form of someone who can effectively lead.

I'm not sure I'm giving Slick too much credit, it's more that he's almost alone in seriously trying to put together a team of the highest quality now, and with no competition it literally takes someone like Kaidus to dislike the whole concept to deny them a player.

We need someone with a proper fuck Epsi attitude, but real life happened to Ipz.
