Day 9 made a facebook post about it. Awesome!
Shame I missed out on the game; was out to lunch. GGWP to mix.

Also antwa is still in NZ. He was merely planning a move. RE: roster change and other info, you should probably attempt to collect fact rather than create fiction for the sake of views.
Cheers,
Byte
Time to get fucked on gully and badlands mid again. doh
EDIT: @ rawinput, because it's personal preference.
Hi there, and welcome to TF2! It's always great to see a new face.
Few tidbits of random information, in case you have not noticed.
*Typical spawns for health and ammo kits are 10 seconds. Keep track of these, and the locations they are on the map to have a good run and continue your reign of terror on the enemy team
*There are 3 types of ammo and health kits - for ammo: small (very small grey box) 20%, medium (yellow/medium size) 50%, large (big cube has rockets coming out of it and other stuff) 100%. Other things that give you ammo include destroyed buildings - 50%, toolboxes from engineers - 100%, weapons from dead players - 50%. You can also use an engineers dispenser to get health and ammo at an increasing rate depending on its level.
Health: small "pill" medicine bottle thing - 1/5 of your hp (thereabouts), medium size kit (50%), big/full kit (100%, size of a big first aid kit/toolbox size)
The cart in payload also gives you health and ammo, much like a dispenser.
*As the defending team you have a bigger spawn time. On a map like cp_dustbowl average respawn timer for the defender is 20 seconds, the attacking team I believe is <=6?
*When in a fight against a soldier or demoman, try and save your doublejump for when you are in the air, so you can change your movement pattern and "juke" them last second to make them waste ammo. Punish them for this with a quick shot in the face!
*Movement is a very important aspect in TF2. Try and learn all the neat jumps/trickjumps around maps as scout to get you around/behind the other team quickly and efficiently. Good movement will also make you harder to hit - employ more strafing in your fights. Don't also be afraid to "strafe aim" - many people strafe to help them aim (I do as scout because my sensitivity is freakin high :/)
*At the start of a game, depending on the map, help your engineer out on the team and upgrade his buildings. The more building his building, the merrier, and the upgrade stays even when you change to another class.
*This goes without saying, but don't really try and just running full ball into the other team, especially if there are a lot of them around.
*If you walk past a medic, don't be afraid to call for medic once or twice for a quick "buff", which takes you to 150% of your normal health (so a scout would go from 125-185), giving you a better chance in any fights you have in the near future. Do note it decays at a decent rate. Try and make sure you are on full health to do this, though, as the medic will probably want to heal other people.
*Sometimes scout is not the best option in a pub game. Even if you want to improve your game, don't be afraid to try out the other classes! This especially helps even if you want to get good at a particular class, so you can learn their strengths and weaknesses, and can fully realize the potential you can push the class you want to play. Having at least one medic on the team is always useful, too.
Good luck, and welcome again!
In terms of dirty bomb keys, just tweet them for a key. They gave me one after about a day or two _b
PhaseryukiTo derail a bit - is there a decent TFC community in NA that you are aware of, bloodsire? There is a decent one in AU atm. 9 teams (10?), 4v4, and there's a parity system in place so teams are at a relatively close skill level (i.e. people are rated, and those numbers are distributed as evenly as possible).
No leagues that i know of, but Wheaties and his crew still run an active 4v4 pickup...they play all the time. It's essentially the same group of 20 or so guys with some old schoolers now and then. I jumped in a few times for the nostalgia factor and it's still fun as hell. The active US competitive community died around '05, which is when most of the major teams quit. ae came back briefly to challenge us (TDA), and we had some incredible matches. Other than each other, there was no real competition. A lot of us, at that time, were just graduating from college and were getting into jobs etc. There was still a short time after that for competitive leagues, but that was the end of the big team era.
Hit wheaties up on steam though, he'll get you the server/irc info so you can join in.
Yeah wheaties plays in the aus league atm. Guy is a machine

PhaserThat new sniper rifle is completely useless, but that sound brings back...so many feels.
dang it I need one. Is it just the TFC sniper sound? pewpew need gibs for fully charged kills like in TFC \o/
Soldiers slightly rejoice on viaduct "rollout"???
Pretty damn stupid they did that, though. Especially after so long. If they're going to fuck us around like that, throw some money at us dammit.
EDIT: oh yeah. blank and other blob teams will just be able to do their stupid blob crap all day and go practically unpunished for it.
remedyRoodYViaduc is a shit map for soldiernot really
It's true. It isn't that bad.
kirbyyuki It's funny you are thinking twice whether the changes are real when one of the glaringly obvious "changes" is 'The medic has been removed entirely from Team Fortress Two'.
Amongst other things, such as the incorrect formatting. >____>
i only read the scout part and enough was enough haha why did you even get that far
I ended up on the latter part of the post since I was scrolling wildly and my work pc has like 1 gig of ram. rip
kirbymight as well remove scout from the game, if those were real.

Any way you can get a computer that isn't a wooden box? A "decent" one for TF2 shouldn't set you back too much.
You will always make new friends. Keep up with the ones you are good friends with via social media, but meeting new people is always a plus.
I'm sure later in your life you may be required to move elsewhere due to work; think of this as preparation for that :)
