#28 Sudden rise of hackers in pubs? in TF2 General Discussion
KevinIsPwnObiphobiasin is cancer but he prolly makes bank off these shit vidswhats ur definition of banki mean, he averages like 100k views a day. Most people get like 200 dollars for every 100k views. So that's like a 6k a month salary (72k a year)

for what it is, that's bank and a half imo

#15 What would yukon pro need to be a good map? in Map Discussion
sorsaI feel like the corridors in yukon are wayyyyyyy too long for a comp map.

Agreed. The entrances into last are also pretty weird. There's only one main door that isn't far out of the way, and it's a shutter. The far left entrance (from the POV of pushing from second to last) needs to be a little closer to lobby, and lobby needs to be larger in general. Think of Gullywash's lobby.

I think reworking the connections between each point would be enough to give the map some variety. I'll look into some specific suggestions when I get the chance.

#2 Nasty exploit found in the Source Engine. BEWARE! in Off Topic

tl;dr:

Games affected:

  • Fistful of Frags
  • Team Fortress 2 Classic
  • Fortress Forever
  • No More Room in Hell
  • Vikings and Knights 2
  • Possibly other Source 2013 mods.

Games believed to be unaffected:

  • Team Fortress 2
  • Counter Strike: Global Offensive
  • Dota 2
  • Garry's Mod
  • Counter Strike: Source

Workaround:

  1. cl_allow download 0
  2. cl_allowupload 0
  3. cl_customsounds 0
  4. Disable sprays

#21 Acer Z35 // 200hz overclock in Hardware
Pharaohwonderlandsnip
It is a strange trend seeing 27 inch and above monitors being heavily marketed as gaming monitors.

I would like to try something like this out for the fov gain.

I've seen some people test the 1ms monitors agasint crt's using a high speed camera and usually the non crt's have poor grey to grey performance.

A 1ms 144hz+ VA or IPS 24 inch panel would be nice

modern VA and IPS have inherently bad GTG performance though

maybe in the future with a version that targets better response times, but nowadays the only IPS 144Hz panels are ones that are overclocked, and the refresh rate is there but since GTG is so poor it's almost worthless

#9 Looking for hud in Q/A Help

There's some mention on page 21: http://www.teamfortress.tv/8336/yahud/?page=21

Based on that comment though, I think the download link was in the OP which has been fully remade at least three times since it was originally posted.

Either way, the HUD is missing a lot of elements. I think it'd be easier to just adapt my yayahud for your purpose.

Can you find a video of it in play? I'll see what I can do, if so.

Definitely some fork of yahud, but I've never seen one like that.

#13 Regarding Background Processes in Q/A Help
mathsadare you on windows 10 by any chance?

I've had this issue on both Windows 7 and Windows 10. It isn't the fault of a specific Windows version, but just Windows' awful task scheduling in general.

#10 Regarding Background Processes in Q/A Help

Chrome is RAM intensive but not as CPU intensive (pardoning some extensions/plugins like Flash).

Firefox isn't as RAM intensive, but is more CPU intensive (especially with Flash).

Since TF2 relies on CPU power even more than RAM, the only way to get a real butter smooth 144fps is by closing both. I hate it, but it's the truth. I'm running one of the best CPUs for TF2 (the best per-thread performance) and I'm on 16GB of RAM but I can't have Firefox or Chrome open at the same time without some form of stutter or lag.

#3 Remove Killstreak Count in Customization
Comangliacl_hud_killstreak_display_time "0"

pretty sure that's it

Isn't that just for the notification and not the HUD element?

I think he's looking to remove the actual counter on his HUD.

#9 New google logo in Off Topic

I don't like the font. I'm not sure what it is, but it seems too bold.

I definitely agree that they need a slight facelift, but I don't think this is the right direction.

#79 yayahud in Customization
MasteRoshiJust updated the hud. I just realized that the support column in mvm scoreboard is missing. http://i.imgur.com/mVsSgJ3.jpg

Also any plans for a minmode version in the future ?

The MVM scoreboard missing elements is due to the token/coin/whateverthefuckitscalled. I'm gunna have to just remake the MVM scoreboard, honestly. It's a little sloppy right now.

KanecoDid you change how item qualities are displaying when you forked yayahud? I remember on takyahud the item qualities backgrounds on the backpack were very easy to distinguish, but on yayahud it seems they were removed totally and only appear when u hover over them? I really preferred the old way so I could tell item qualities easier

thx for the update btw

Bug introduced with Gun Mettle. I'm still looking into ways to fix it.

#6 Monitor struggling to turn on in Hardware

As Waldo said, sounds like a bad capacitor. I've dealt with this kind of issue on multiple monitors, and it always comes down to a bad cap.

The good news is that most monitors have capacitor kits you can buy on Amazon for cheap.
