#21 gandalf lft mid-open medic in Recruitment (looking for team)

Really fun medic to play with. Very chill, good idea of advantages/counting. She listens to comms well, has pretty good awareness, and is dedicated to improving. Aside from gameplay, she has a really great personality and is able to keep the mumble atmosphere light and fun.

I think it'd be worth it for any teams looking for a solid mid-high open medic to give her a shot.

#4 ATH-M50s question in Hardware

I have an ATH-M50S and I like it; I've had it for like half a year now with no cord problems. My only other experience with coiled cables with a cheaper version of it (M20 or M30 maybe?) and the coiled cable is annoying as fuck because it pulls the headphones if you stretch it too far; while you might have a similar cable length, the tension-free amount is much less. Maybe I'm just really sensitive to that issue though, just my 2 cents.

Hey dude, the majority of people who browse these forums are 6v6 players; you'll probably have better luck on the UGC forums. Just a heads up!

#11 Should I buy a mechanical keyboard? in Hardware

Ah ok. Yeah I would say it'd be impossible for me to pick out my performance on a mechanical vs. non-mechanical board. Mine was a gift, so I can't comment on buyer's remorse per se, but if you've got around $100 to spend it's not a bad investment. You could also probably pick up a used one or wait for a sale, if that's too steep. Overall, I'm really happy with the keyboard.

#9 Should I buy a mechanical keyboard? in Hardware

For me, I don't think there was a noticeable change in my performance. I think the biggest factors in performance (equipment wise) would be a stable (high) framerate, a high refresh rate monitor, and a good mouse + surface.

I switched to a mechanical board kind of recently and I really really like it. Typing feels a lot more satisfying and my typing speed improved by like 20 wpm, but if you're just looking to increase your game performance there are better uses for the money.

Is your cell phone close to your mic? Mine was and for a long time people always complained about feedback into my mic

#5 How to get better FPS when using a mac? in Q/A Help

I second the recommendation to use boot camp; I got reasonably good performance on a Macbook Air on Windows 7 via bootcamp for the time I had to use a laptop.

#13 Looking to upgrade build - Recommendations? in Hardware

According to downpour, who had a really similar build to yours and terrible FPS, installing an SSD helped his frames a ton too.

It might not affect your FPS so much, but if you don't already have an SSD I strongly suggest getting one. It'll speed loading times on pretty much everything and the general usage of the computer will be way snappier.

#2 Nvidia control panel crashing in Hardware

If you're getting the mouse leaving TF2 thing and have high DPI (I had this issue when I had >1800), try lowering that. If that doesn't work you can try cursorlock

Not sure what's up with the control panel, though.
