Bronan is paid.

remiCs is also paid, but still needs to find out if he's going to be able to get the weekend off. He should know by Tuesday.

#37 What to buy? in Hardware

The QcK is ok, but as others have mentioned they go bald kinda fast. The Razer goliathus (speed edition) is far superior.

I've never used a ducky but lots of people I know do and they seem to love them.

The Siberia is crap. Like tommunist just said... He had 3 pairs and none lasted longer than 6 months. Get a good pair of headphones and add a modmic or a zalman clip on. Personally I use the audio technica ad700s (with a modmic). Fucking incredible headphones. They don't make them anymore but you might be able to find one somewhere.

If you are on a budget and want a headSET, the Razer carcharias honestly isn't bad. I used that before I got my ad700s and it was comfortable, the sound was good and the mic was great. I still use it at LANs.

#19 How is Cevo doing? in TF2 General Discussion
Rickdoes the cevo client still say that creepy as fuck goodbye when u close it

I think that's the real reason ESEA was able to overtake CEVO back in the day.

#4 Slower boot times when HDD is connected in Hardware

See if there any bios updates for that mobo. Maybe flashing to a newer version will give you more options or just correct the problem on its own.

#2 Slower boot times when HDD is connected in Hardware

what is the boot order set to in the bios?

Are you sure it's not trying to boot off the HDD first? Sounds like that's what's happening. A lot of the time in the bios it won't say "SSD", it'll show all connected drives and usually list them saying the brand name followed by a long number.

#8 Pocket mid high open in Recruitment (looking for team)

Tulkas is awesome. I've known the guy forever. He was gone from the game for a few years, so he's still knocking some of the rust off, but when he's back to 100% you will regret not picking him up :)

#24 Hey, I need a new mouse in Hardware
Al3xI currently have the DA with a goliathus speed, i've had no issues so far.

Same. Lefty deathadder + goliathus speed (used control for a while too, also worked fine) since 2009. No issues, in fact I'm still using the same deathadder I've had since 2009, no scroll wheel or button problems. Only thing I've had to do it replace the feet.

CEVOPipherthrasherJust doesnt seem worth it. In the past I always ran a draft tournament on Friday night, and then we had a real tournament on Saturday but because of the CEVO finals its gonna really cut down on gaming time for everyone not on one of those CEVO teams.. Is there some reason that you can't play TF2 while the CEVO-P Playoffs are happening? If you aren't interested in watching the finals, there's no reason why you can't pug, scrim, pub, or even organize your own tournament in the BYOC...is there?

Don't get me wrong, I think getting LANs for CEVO is a good thing. It'll help the community finally leave ESEA (the lack of LANs was the major hang up for a lot of people),

The problem with your ideas (and this is coming from someone who has both assisted with and run the GXL tournaments solo over the years) are that a lot of people show up late on Friday. That's why we did a draft tournament. Not many people there so it was something fun to do. This year is going to be much much bigger so there will be more players there on Friday, but odds are a lot of them won't be interested in pugs since they will want to watch the CEVO finals.

Saturday is going to be the same deal. Teams that get knocked out early will either be in a bad mood and not want to pug, or they will just want to spectate the rest of the time.

Oh, and pubbing is horrible.

Yeah same. It's more about having fun, and like flame said some teams may only get 3 games in before they are knocked out. $20 entry, $40+ for the GXL ticket, hotel & transportation fees (not an issue for me since I live really close), and time off from work means a smaller paycheck that week.

Just doesnt seem worth it. In the past I always ran a draft tournament on Friday night, and then we had a real tournament on Saturday but because of the CEVO finals its gonna really cut down on gaming time for everyone not on one of those CEVO teams.

I'm really leaning towards skipping GXL and just inviting my friends who are gonna be in town over to my place since seeing them is really the only incentive to go.

#12 thrasher LFT pocket in Recruitment (looking for team)

bump.

Joined a team. It died.

My open fees are paid so rather than let it go to waste I guess if anyone needs a soldier, or a backup (anything but demo) hit me up.

well put flame. When you put it that way I think I'd rather just work that weekend and make some money.
