EDIT: Abyssus too jittery to draw straight lines.
Sorry, it looks like I have micro-Parkinson's.
It's a battle for the throne.
Can Chess Club just fight LG at LAN? A bonus of this route is that the donators will have nothing to complain about.
Don't worry though, donators, there will be rules.
1. No touching of the hair or face.
2. That's it.
Possible match-ups:
1. Tyrone vs Tri
2. Shade vs Stultus
3. b4nny vs Kermit
4. Cyzer vs Weeble
5. Hero vs Omar
6. Dave__AC vs Taggerung
This isn't looking so good for Chess Club.
nemothorn_TF2 is made for fun, so if you're not having fun, why play? Also, it IS only a game, which is why real life comes first.the only way to have fun is winning? you are confused about the feeling you get when you win and the feeling you get when you play and enjoy the game
i remember i had more fun when my team was shit
do you think the chess club didnt know before the season started that their chances were low ?
who needs an entire season to find out that there is 2 nearly impossible to defeat (atm)
if you dont want to try to be the best just stop playing and enjoy the life
some people lacks of competitive spirit
btw im not saying that the chess club doesnt care of they dont want to try and of course they should take care of their irl stuff in the first place
?
I was saying that if something comes up in real life, you should stop playing the game. I didn't say anything about Chess Club not having fun because they don't win.
badgersJust because you have a low chance of winning LAN doesn't mean you shouldn't show up. TF2 is a game, made for fun. It's like all some people care about is winning, I'd have so much fun going to LAN even finishing 4th. It'd be fun to meet my team in person, along with many others.

badgersi personally feel sorry for tagg, he's like the only active Chess Club player, and the only one who cares for the team.
also, i don't understand why they're getting all this money for LAN but not even practicing at all, despite people donating ALL this money for them to preform at LAN. and it looks like they could care less. (not including tag)
Why would you care to practice if you're going to get 4th no matter what and have better things to do in real life? Unfortunately, real life gets in the way a lot. They are getting the money for LAN because they asked and they received it, simple as that. Everyone that donated should have known they had zero chance of taking anything other than 4th, so I don't see the issue.
kirii don't think chess club has taken more than a couple of rounds off the top 3 teams throughout the season, probably figure they'll get fourth place whether they practice or not so why bother?
also apparently real life is supposed to be important or something :?
I can tell you that them being locked in 4th place was a big factor in them not trying very hard / wanting to go.
swiperWhy waste the community's money if you're not going to at least put in some effort to be competitive at LAN?
This isn't communism man, you voluntarily donated for them to go. If it's a waste to you then you should not have donated to them.
4812622if none of them give a shit can't we like frankenstein a team from hwg, nNn, and tag to send to LAN so we don't have to finance a pointless endeavor
You don't have to finance a pointless endeavor, you don't have to pay for them to go. If you don't have the money to go to Dallas to play a video game for a weekend, you shouldn't EXPECT community money.
Pick pt up, he is funny and has great taste in DnB. I should also mention he is good and wrote TF2's history book with 22d.
Could you at least post your credentials? Jesus, low open teams expect more now than ever before, you can't just prance in and take a spot on a team.
Pick up Shootist! He's one of the nicest guys I know, has some of the best soldier DM, and he also wants to improve all the time!
