I enjoyed the Witcher series recently and it's something you could try, it shouldn't be expensive
you could try cyberpunk 2077 too - it's way less buggy than at the beginning, has a great story and it's guaranteed 60 hrs of play with the dlc

One of my viewers made this after I uploaded that video

it's definitely better kind of fanarts than the ones this dude praises (check his twitter)
Seinfeldinvite players need to take a note out of the FGCs book. pick new players! who cares if you lose the pug, get some random on scout and teach them to play! allow them to fail, let them learn. it'd be easier to do this if there were no elo
very wishful thinking, most of the people aren't that patient, you start doing some stupid shit and you get shittalked, it's not good but it is what it is
Seinfeldi think the problem is that pugs are too cumbersome in NA. i have more fun playing tf2pickup.eu as a burger and getting shit on and playing with 120 ping than really any other form of pugs because you can actually play on demand without the threat of being fatkidded every pug like RGL pugs do to anyone whos not part of the in-crowd on that site already.
honestly i've tried running highlander pugs as in hl.tf2pickup.us in NA and it worked for some time and it had some success but i think the reasons why it was a thing was because:
- some people disliked people who ran rgl pugs A LOT like they were openly unhappy about it
- rgl pugs didn't work at all or there were serious issues with their operations (which seems to be fixed now)
- no fatkidding
however when rgl pugs started working normally people moved back to playing these simply because more people were gathering up there and after like 2 months of no games i've closed the site because i saw no meaning in maintaining the operation, meanwhile i was thinking of hosting tf2pickup.us but after this i kinda gave up cuz i thought that na 6v6 people are happy with what they have so this service is basically not needed
however, if there is an actual interest from the community we could make it happen, i just need to see that people really want it and we could do something about it
the big difficulty is getting admins to maintain the site and getting actually trusted people, i strongly empathize on the latter because i am extremely happy about what kind of admin team i have for eu pugs as i know they have a good intent for the matter
Seinfeldalso the elo system is a terroism super plague on pugs, even for the captain pugs. people care about that gay little number too much and it creates this insulated ecosystem where everyone is trying to pick the best pug possible so they can gain elo
this is the exact reason why skill values for all players aren't public on tf2pickup.eu as it prevents people from e-dick size competitions and people actually focus more on the game than getting better/worse elo
there is one thing in this topic which this dude probably brought up:
https://etf2l.org/2024/03/22/6v6-season-47-spring-2024-provisonal-tiers-and-whitelist-plugin-rule-updates/
if etf2l is siding with prem player opinions in the first place, why asking about the general audience about an opinion at all if it doesn't matter anyway?
siding with people who have the most of experience in the game and best understanding of it in a competitive setting is fair (actually i was enforcing this idea when i was an etf2l league admin myself) but this was a spit in the face of people who thought they could make a change by voting, eventually getting their votes disregarded
i guess etf2l wanted to see an opinion of the community but i feel like it was potrayed in a way if they choose A and it gets majority it just gets applied, i think you get this already
the rest is just one-sided opinion and as others said bad faith arguments about the changes being made, because the arguments why the change is being made was presented in the post update, but then people just forget it was made in some post some months ago and think all of these whitelist changes are shoved from someone's ass while all of them are result of some problematic situation or aspect in the game which had its own spotlight in the past like playing with double backpack or idk vaccinator (very old ban)
buudSeinfeldATTENTION: PLEASE DISREGARD ANY AND ALL ZESTY JESUS POSTS!hes also just a noob? https://rgl.gg/Public/PlayerProfile?r=24&p=76561198052431073
THAT GUY IS A SUPER TURBO RACIST AND AN ANNOYING LOSER! DO NOT REPOST HIS SHIT OPINIONS!
giving opinions is always good but how is he dumbing the game down to moving your med or sentry like he has b4nny knowledge and the game figured out when his only experience is highlander in the lowest div
no flame to new players, but personally i didn't have such radical opinions about the meta while i was just starting out
zesty jesus is a guy who can't accept that people can be better at the game he loves than him like many pub players and call like majority of comp players names because they are so sweaty and kill him in a game where the main thing is killing players in the opposing team!!! (j_peg situation with him getting dunked on a pub)
he has played one season of highlander in amateur and has an opinion about every single aspect of competitive you can ever imagine based on his extensive experience
and that is a viewpoint which is repeated by cringetopians who can't develop an opinion of their own based on some actual competitive experience, so they take his takes as their own which eventually creates a bad look for competitive overall
cookietwiikuuDo not try to run your server using the 64 bits binary, it is unnecessary.Would it not improve performance technically speaking? (assuming all the plugins work as intended)
yeah it could a bit (for server hostings) but the problem is that atm most of the sourcemod stuff on 64-bit doesn't work so there is no sense in playing on them
looks like we've done the same exact work in the meanwhile
i've managed to get the .exe like it's in lawena, could anyone test it it works?
https://c.supra.tf/s/lawena-x64
(at least one of the two packages should work, probably stable one)
@Bv what i've figured out is that the initial author used launch4j to generate an executable so what i did was to install the latest release https://sourceforge.net/projects/launch4j/files/launch4j-3/3.50/launch4j-3.50-win32.exe/download and add this in build.gradle at the top:
def launch4j = "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Launch4j\\launch4jc.exe"
then
gradlew.bat build
and there u go, exe in zip
deliPlease some GOAT fix lawena; Pretty please
https://github.com/quanticc/lawena-recording-tool/blob/v4.1.x/src/main/java/lwrt/CLWindows.java
at minimum this file must be changed as it mentions an old tf2 executable, not sure if more, worth testing
+ app recompile after change

i miss brock
LG Ultragear 27GP850-B seems to be inexpensive and good option with 1440p and 180hz after overclocking, i have a couple of these panels
it's IPS so it's not 1 ms delay (if you enable actual 1ms, screen tearing is unbearable) but it has great colors and HDR (nice for single games)
27GP950* is the same model but 4k instead of 2k
this screen is 1649 PLN so something like 385 EUR
i am pretty sure if narkkari notices this thread he will be able to throw some potentially better recommendations because he is following all screen related news on the market
OLED is leagues ahead from other screens but i doubt most people would like to buy a screen for 1200-1300 EUR
the best screens on the market has features to somewhat circumvent this burning pixel effect but it's quite experimental so it's kinda risky to these i feel
siyoWe have a public copy that I'm updating in real time of our 2024 expenses/revenue. Compared to 2023 this is a little more organized since 2023 was us playing catchup as we never really did record what we did.
We're in the red ATM but that's pretty much due to the airbnb reservation. We expect to be even come July of this year
Carrying over our profits from 2023, the Osmo Pocket 3 Bundle purchase is specifically for footage and filming. As we'll be coming to RGL LAN me and Bethnicz will be at the LAN and filming stuff for future videos. We thought it would be nice to include real life player footage in our videos instead of just clipping together match vod footage/player photos/screenshots from the rgl website. I've been thinking of also, while not producing (should we have the chance to produce a 2nd stream at RGL LAN), we can grab players on the way side and record interviews similar to how HLTV interviews players post match at CS LANs
We've also moved from merchandise compensation to actually compensating volunteers with Paypal/Cashapp/Venmo. Yes, the payments are small. But subjectively I made the decision to retroactively pay people for past contributions they made as a volunteer.
The PASS TIME 4v4 $200 expense isn't recorded in the document as it's technically part of the 80% share from last year that the PASS TIME merchandise proceeds generated.
The $600 prize pool for the cup we are planning to announce isn't listed as it's a donated prize pool from someone.

mad respect for that, i wish more orgs were transparent like this
Setsulsuprastaff isn't paid anything for work, so it's around 25 EUR/mo gross to run ETF2L right nowexaQ: Is RGL able to have a public repository for POV demos?Incredible, isn't it?
A: The largest bottleneck with this is the expenses associated with paying for file hosting and needing to build out the site infrastructure to support this. At the moment, this is not something the site can realistically support.
I'm sure RGL will tell us there's some reason why it's just completely impossible to do it like that in North America, and it will be headache-inducingly stupid. Probably something about how they've got no EUR, any service in the US offering the same would cost at least 500 USD/month, or how RGL is just so incredibly popular that they'd need a million times ETF2L's bandwidth and pay for it accordingly.
RGL run a website written in ASP.NET, not sure if Core or not, but if not, then they must host it on a machine with Windows Server which is obnoxiously expensive compared to hosting things on Linux
depending on if you maintain a Windows license yourself or you use pay as you use option, prices will differ
in pay as you use case it's at least twice more expensive if not thrice when comparing to a machine with Linux with exact same specification (vCPU, RAM, disk, network throughput etc)
