bknjoinedsenses X jaguarfiend thread on tftv in 2021 holy throwback
dw about getting downscored, most people don't know what these people have done for the tf2 community
dbksupraalso yep it's all true, it's because we really care about how it's gonna be accepted by the EU community and we want to let the site be a bit more functional before it gets available hereu dont care about us? :/
if i didn't care about u, i wouldn't help with the setup
i think we can all agree that there is an individual called AimIsADick decreasing a general quality of the posts and comments
torritits great that even the americans are getting a pickup faster than the brits, purely because supra is a bit racist
obviously
now for real, we really want to push some features until it will be up for the eu, american pickups are a sort of a test before we launch it in the eu
godeyo can we get au? surely
we are working on it
torritbijlolplunk spend 2 days doing that, only to be told to stop by supratorritit's open source so anyone can set it up you know https://docs.tf2pickup.org/docs/components-introductiongodeyo can we get au? surelyidk, you might be a bit too closely related to us for that!!!
also yep it's all true, it's because we really care about how it's gonna be accepted by the EU community and we want to let the site be a bit more functional before it gets available here
honestly i'd love to play some eu hl pugs but they're also waiting because of that
durzothose benQ reviews tell me you need a cd drive in order to download the drivers for the monitor, which is a little odd, but in any event i'd go with it anyway. DyAc is just too good to pass up, and the BenQ Zowie monitors are pretty much top of the line at whatever hertz they run at, you'll never see a smoother display unless you go for the 240hz DyAc model. If you can find them in stock, of course
luckily we are not in the 90's but in 2021 so you don't really have to install drivers for the monitor in order to make it work, but i guess you have to have drivers for the graphics card specifically in order to let it work in 144hz>=
uhhh looks like i'm late on the party but i think way easier solution to get competitive servers on your host would be using docker containers made by mały:
https://github.com/melkortf/tf2-servers
everything is prebuilt already and all you need to do is to pass variables like what ports do you want to have, your api for logs.tf/demos.tf, passwords etc, example:
https://docs.tf2pickup.org/docs/site-components-deployment#gameserver_1env
VourienthrowIf this replaces your table, where do you put your monitor?https://i.imgur.com/GOS1dj3.jpeg
very claustrophobic gamer set
Rocket_Chapa (not mine but funny)
SOOOOOAPYMEISTERhad me untilsupraso basically everybody from EU and people with ping less than 100 are allowed to play.:(
maybe someday there will be american bball pugs son
Hi everyone,
we'd like to announce a new pickup site for bball pickups, https://bball.tf2pickup.eu. It's another pickup site we made, but this time it is going to be European, so basically everybody from EU and people with ping less than 100 are allowed to play.
I know there are less bball enthusiasts than 6v6 or Highlander gamers, but we made a European site for this gamemode anyway because we want to see how people are gonna be for each other and we want to get some feedback before we start with European 6v6 or Highlander pickups. During the games using voice chat on Mumble is mandatory, for more check out the rules on the website. We use melkor.tf (France) host as a place for the game servers at the moment.
Short info about us:
We are a small Polish team of people who want to bring fun for people playing Team Fortress 2 competitively and the project initially started from a pickup website which was a replacement for a very old IRC bot tf2.pickup.pl for 6v6 pugs. People in the Polish community played double mixes very frequently and the website was an idea to make games better organised. It was called tf2pickup.pl, made by mały from scratch and eventually it gained interest in the community big enough that people from other countries started contacting us in order to launch the site for their countries. Currently all websites except the bball one are made with an idea of using the national language meaning for instance people playing German pickups are supposed to speak German, but it does not exclude people from other German speaking countries to participate.
At the moment there are 14 different pickup websites in the Europe, 2 are going to come up soon.
Our team consists of:
mały - website developer, this site exists because of him mostly and he supports the website deployments,
bobair - graphics designer, he made all of these cool polandball logos and animations,
supra - project manager and technical supporter, I support the website deployments, help communities gain interest in the website and I wrote the docs.
Our Discord is there: https://discord.gg/SXtcadpQTK
Feel free to support us on Ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/tf2pickuporg
We would be grateful if we get some feedback about how the website works and what would you expect to be changed in it.
plunkkordyanjust stop crying and play, there's no point in dividing the playerbase further. most of these new pug groups last 2 weeks and after everyone is bored of the circlejerk it fallsthe polish person telling someone to stop dividing the playerbase!!
so?
