Would I experience input lag if I set my fps_max to 301 when my computer can constantly reach that number.

So my windows computer is 3 months old and stupid me didn't install an anti virus or a maleware blocker. I don't know how any of this works as I've always used to be a Mac user. I've been noticing some sketchy applications I've never once installed myself and I really need advice on how I can remove all the malware on my computer.

And if anyone knows a good free antivirus program that'll be great.

Build it yourself. Trust me, all you need is a few hours of research and you'll be fine. Not to mention you will save a ton of money doing so.

Anything with a modern intel quad core cpu would kill tf2 at dx9
