#53 single player games in Other Games
Khakireddquake 3I don't think that's singleplayer

the singleplayer is just fights vs. bots, but i find myself playing it pretty often to relax. if you're looking for actual levels, definitely pick up quake 1

#142 ESEA's possible demise? in TF2 General Discussion
QuindalileakyWithout a LAN and something to work towards, this game will die. People have been saying this forever and with good reasoning because its true, if you want to just play the game, and you dont care about supportng a LAN, then don't play competitive.
Open teams aren't working towards a LAN, they're working towards doing well in open and learning how to play the game. So many of you think that this game will "die" without LAN/invite/ESEA yet look at how many brand new names are signing up and paying to play in CEVO this season. Don't play competitive if you don't care about supporting LAN? Are we really that selfish? If anything, higher level players should be trying to foster the growth of the bottom end to ensure that the game won't die. why is it our expectation to have the brand new, largest percent of people support the experienced, seasoned top 5%? Your stance basically says that 50 open teams should sign up so that 24 people can go to Texas for a weekend. As prestigious and exciting as LAN is, try thinking of the others.

TF2 is not dead. And it won't die, as long as we facilitate good competition and experience for new open players. By this community's logic we should give all our resources to senior citizens because they've lived life and deserve it, rather than improving the lives of young kids who have their whole life (tf2 career) ahead of them.

i realize the way to grow the tf2 community is to encourage new players to play comp, and to create a welcoming environment for them to do so, but ugc has already been doing this for years. while cevo is a great league with very involved community leaders behind it, if trying to cater to a similar demographic as ugc will hurt the league that has been providing for the peak competitive players and encouraging the most growth in the skill of their players, i can't see how that can help the community.

#3 Physics question in Off Topic

okay. so the weight of block a to block b is 1/3. which should be the friction coefficient. http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/frict.html

so then the acceleration should be 2.205.
http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/hpul2.html#c1

while i'm literally taking high-school physics right now, i could be completely wrong. as most of my test scores can tell you.

EDIT: shit. i tried.

#92 Bill Nye/Ken Ham religion debate in Off Topic

i thought the talk was really interesting, and while i didn't experience any sort of revelation of my personal ideas and opinions it was definitely entertaining. i'm kinda disappointed the tower of babel didn't really come up, i thought that'd be interesting to hear about. so i guess the only thing left to do is binge on old bill nye the science guy episodes.
