omniYankeeKanecoSorry but I can't wrap my head around that. And besides ETF2L has been alive and well (apart from seasonal lans, we still have insomnia tho) for as long as I can remember, and top players aren't leaving the game because "there are no lans".
The insomnia series aren't linked to etf2l, therefore you haven't made a point at all.
if NA had a regular LAN similar to the i-series, it'd be a lot easier to justify leaving ESEA because the best players would all still get to meet up and play.
Unfortunately that's not the case over here.
yo i am in temporary possession of the single spookiest hat in the game someone pick me up please
wsakura said said some deep shit sometime ago to me
he said that he was gonna quit tf2 soon
i asked what game he was going to play next
he responded "life"

Yes, ESEA have no respect for you so treat them extra nice.
if that's what you took from that post you have serious reading comprehension issues. the point of that statement was we have no real leverage against ESEA, so making realistic, small "demands" is better than going "fuck you if you dont do this we all quit" because they'll simply say "ok" and then our game is dead in NA.
fraac has been on an anti-esea campaign on every medium he can get to for months now. It's best just to ignore his stupidity.
(he's gonna compare us to defending an abusive husband now)
placeholder to remind me to post a demo here
I wish I had thought about this more before the close of CEVO registration. The new CEVO admins seem really dedicated to providing a quality product, and while their client isn't perfect by any means, it's not the disgusting resource-hogging lump of steaming shit that the ESEA client is. While I like/respect Killing/Kalkin, they clearly have no real pull within ESEA which makes it very difficult to get any changes made.
If I could go back and change things, I'd probably have tried to get a team together for both CEVO and ESEA for this season, then next season make a decision on which one I wanted to focus on. That may still be ESEA for a couple more seasons, but the gap is definitely narrowing IMO. The complete lack of attention given to our (admittedly small) community by ESEA, to the point where matches are basically unplayable, is frustrating enough that I'm certainly open to suggestions.
That's a lot of words but it made me feel good to type them.
same
those kids basically have to teach themselves nowadays
tf2 has a rich history of dead invite teams
just because one died for moral reasons doesn't mean the death of tf2 in esea
that said, i'm really really sick of client issues and so are most of the other people i've talked to. it shouldn't be this hard to run an anti-cheat client + a video game simultaneously
gullwash
nice guys. pretty gosh darn good at this game too
