2sy_morphiendChicago is the best fucking city on the planet though.

I agree with this, even though I spent 6 hours on the Dan Ryan a few days ago.

elliott_Mr_OwlThe richest people have somehow convinced the poorest people that poor people don't matter.Actually, we were just convinced we could be rich too. Most of the conservatism in the lower and middle class arises from the belief that with enough work and sweat you can be reasonably wealthy no matter what, because of the competitive nature of the American market. Most people where I live are staunch Republicans, and most of the (white) people at my school put a decent amount of effort into school and making good grades, trying to play the system for a free education, with the hope that no one else can.

Pretty much every decision in America is considered in the light that some people do not want help, and feel the market and populace will perform best when left alone.

ah, the bootstraps argument, with a little racism thrown in for good measure. Nice.

#20 Top 10 TF2 plays - August 2013 in TF2 General Discussion

the 1-2 punch and the triple were both good

the rest were either standard plays or moments of luck, not really skill so much

that said, well edited, good music, and extine does a good job of mustering what excitement can be had out of the clips.

I had a good time. Only issues I had were the people I played with not understanding that it was a pretty strict timelimit for ffw's (thanks Cloud). Either way we played one and lost and that's about what I expected with the bracket. I will continue to register on whatever Friday night I can get 6 in.

conductorkace and frostfire were both on she spilled my coffee - they can play in im if they want to. I don't know if that team is going to come to fruition or not though.

good catch, I had forgotten that frostfire played for them last season. kace is paid up for the season, but it looks like nobody else who's been scrimming with them has done so? Making roster decisions and getting 5 paid up in one night is asking a lot but it'd be nice to get at least one more team in IM.

#160 Breaking bad in Off Topic
brownymasterMr_OwlIt was after he had gotten the ricin, but Walt knew that Lydia was a threat to Skylar when she told him at her condo that the nazis had broken into the old house and told her not to mention the "lady from the carwash". Either way, he would have known she was a threat that needed to be eliminated. He learned that after he poisoned Lydia though. Lydia was just a loose end and potential threat he wanted to get rid of, and learning about the threats just make it more justified to him.

welp, you're right. I watched the episode before work this morning and some things are a little out of order in my head. Thanks for the correction.

sherman_gluckMr_OwlTerywjSO OPEN.

Kace's team should be solid if they pickup a good Medic. Kace / Hooli / Monkeysuit etc. Watch out for them.

3 people, each in control of an IM (ok i guess Flying Circus is dead but still) roster, but they can't use any of them because of the hijack rule when we could have another live IM team to add to a kinda pitiful division. More open teams is always good, but it's coming at the cost of having like an 8 team IM division once teams start dying in the early season.

blinKSeeing live games from sourcetv's don't always tell the story of what's really going on in the game, nor do the end game stats. You'd need to be on mumble to really get the full scoop of the decision making and synergy going on during the game. Since TF2 is very team oriented different players can bring out the best in other players depending on their styles. Some people prefer quieter medics because they prefer to main call like Plat, while some require medics that are more vocal to guide. It all depends on what compliments your pocket to play to their potential I think.

One scout might be the aggro scout getting all the kills and making plays, the other scout may be the passive one playing around the flank making sure points get capped. The aggro scout may appear to have way better damage/frag numbers all around but it's really just the role they're playing. Their role makes them look like the better scout. The passive scout with inferior numbers could actually be the better all around scout though. However the stats don't say so. This goes back to different medics complimenting their pocket. A good medic could make their pocket look good or bad. At the end of the day if your pocket looks amazing then your medic must be doing a pretty good job at keeping him alive to get those stats in. No glory!

i don't think anyone is doubting your prowess at the medic class yo
