Have you tried using -default? Also, did you change anything right before the crashes started happening?
I've had a good experience with the Deathadder, though about 2.5 years in to using it, it developed a bug where it would sometimes register a left click as a double click. Also, it has rubber side grips, which I know some people don't like.

EDIT: ninja'd by jerm
Hey, I'm negasora; Having just come off of my first full ESEA open season playing on The Petting Tzu, I figure it's time I commit to improving my playstyle on scout. I've been kind of uncomfortable with scout movement/positioning since I got back from a year off a couple months ago, so I could definitely use some advice there.
It'd be awesome to have someone IM+ to go over demos with me, and maybe offer a couple general tips I may have missed.
mentored me way back in the day; nice guy, really solid player that could play well in invite

They'll be giving out more, unless 2v1 is the new gamemode

yttriumnegasoraIt should probably be said that newbie mixes != newbie mix pugs. In newbie mixes, each team will be given a coach, whereas in newbie pugs, you're on your ownAre they still called newbie "mix" pugs then?
Kind of
yttriumnegasoraMixes don't, pugs doThen listing "newbie mixes" probably isn't the best idea.
That said, OP, I recommend newbie mixes. They're taken very seriously and as a new player you'll be given advice from your coach post-game (and sometimes during the game).

yttriumlias__These steam groups make announcements and everyone joins a server. The general process is a pug moderator will call "last to spec is medic" and the last two are made medic, though this will change depending on the group. The medics will fight with melee and choose fist or second pick (first gets first pick but one pick and second gets second and third pick).
I haven't coached in months but please tell me newbie mixes doesn't do this
Mixes don't, pugs do sometimes
