these guys right here pre workout and then a protein mixed with simple or complex carb based meal(complex burns energy slower) after your workout. the reason for carbs post workout is so you're not dead tired and for glycogen to help repair muscle. But no matter how many protein shakes or bars you eat the only way you're really going to get bigger is eating eating eating (you have to mix cardio in your workout too) and getting proper sleep
