defythrasherThe only real downside I see to this is when a new team full of good/experienced/veteran players is made they will have to start in open
its always been like that
his point is that doing so is more inconvenient with 4 divs than with 3, so either IM should require no existing roster to start in or main should invite new teams that are good enough
I'm definitely gonna cast chill 2 good vs. 6 cuties when it happens
would the division require an existing roster like IM, or be invite-based like, well, invite?
or would it be invite-based the first season and then like IM afterwards
still less annoying than heavy
HuntCan someone elaborate upon swiftwater? I've played it and it wasn't a bad experience to me. Is it just because it is too large?
swiftwater is absolutely no fun for all of the combo classes
plus the sniper sightlines are unreal
SleightSodaI literally haven't met one person who liked Swiftwater.
Does the map creator have a picture of one of the ugc admins screwing a goat or something?
it was literally commissioned by ugc for ugc, the admins keep it in out of an inflated sense of pride
really nice guy and very dedicated to improving
djcya that picture's much worse than the one where we can see the crumbs and tree branches in your amish-style neckbeard
ive yet to see you post anything here
here's me and my friend with cannibal ox- i debated posting this because its like the worst picture of me ever, so I compromised
Sabermustardoverlordtri's been streaming throughout the season, in and out through team drama and all thatrr--snip-
sums it up fairly well
there's a certain group of players who seem to start streaming only when they want money (lansky on mix^ comes to mind) and then immediately stop after the lan is over. how about just streaming in general to help the community grow? maybe then people won't see you as acting entitled.
i certainly think they deserve our money more than anybody else asking for funds
obv I wasnt talking about tri in my post
and to clarify, I know what a donation is and I wasn't saying tri hards "deserve" other people's money more, ffs this is a video game, donate your money to malaria research if you want to do it for moral reasons, I'm just saying that, pragmatically, tri hards have done a better job convincing people to donate
the community is smart enough to look at people who only start offering a window into their team right before lan and then gravitate towards the team that's been open the whole season. hell, you only really need one guy on your team to put that effort in (tri, in this case)- look at how much support tagg got for his teams by streaming games
rr-I'm not 100% sure since I haven't read every single post, but if teams /know/ that they're going to need money for lan, or w/e happens. Why do they always wait till the very last minute, promise all these people these things... and most of the time don't even carry it out to the end. I'm not sure why you guys (HRG) and Tri Hards too, didn't do anything for donations throughout the season. My team personally had blank streaming a bunch at the start (I know he slowly stopped streaming because he was lazy, and when I stream i get sub 120 fps while playing.) and he was also doing demo reviews (More so last season than this season imo) Like... if teams that knew they were making lan for sure pumped out content for the tf2 community through demo reviews, mentoring, etc, they would probably be more likely to donate for /your/ cause because you're helping them out too. I'm not saying that you guys won't do what you say, and that you don't mentor and demo review because I don't know what you guys do 24/7, but I haven't heard of any of the invite teams really mentoring and reviewing, maybe a handful of players at most do.
TL:DR - Don't know why you guys don't do all the things you're saying you'll do now during the season when all the other divisions are playing, then ask people to donate when you have a good amount of money already... my 4 cents

Snowymustardoverlord said that as a roamer, you should jump the side of the map your demo goes during gullywash mids.
let me clarify this
I call this in pugs because, in my mind, taking over a side of gullywash mid with all 6 players and then going from there is the simplest way to play the mid, and is still viable
however, if you have scouts who you can rely on to protect your demo/play heals, your roamer and even your pocket have more freedom to go a different way
I just think in the context of pugs simpler = better
gotta be honest, im sorta disappointed there isn't more actual gameplay footage (from what we've been told). didn't extv get like an exclusive deal to get all the frags or w/e so bones couldn't make an i46 fragvid? why not use that to full effect?
