this is actually super important, much more so than any of these other news items, hopefully we can start discussing it.

dflametoxic
I'm glad you said this for my own sanity because I can now convince myself that like 10-15 of my -frags on every post are from 1 person
now I don't have to battle depression cuz of a video game forum
cafe monster showing off the new demo meta post-nerf
abuse the fact that the other team still thinks demo is a priority target and sacrifice him for the win

oPlaiDmustardoverlordrichard lewis is way more well known than any tf2 player who has ever played
oplaid works for him at the daily dot

Get over yourself, you're an idiot.
I was the first full time esports writer hired by the Daily Dot. I've worked there for months before Richard joined the team. He works alongside me. He's certainly not my boss and he certainly doesn't pay the paychecks.
I wrote that article because believe it or not, I'm interested in competitive TF2. What a surprise!
I am sorry mr lingle pls find it in your heart to forgive me
bump, I m ready 2 rokk
AdmirableRichard Lewis did a lot of work for competitive TF2. Gave us a platform on Cadred.org for years. A great servant for eSports. My hero!
this might be an extraordinarily inappropriate question, but did he and youngblood ever reconcile before...you know...
I should also add, richard lewis paid oplaid a salary so he could publish this article:

I always thought this would be fun, but I worried that the homogeneity of stats would make different classes meaningless to compare
therefore, even though high level 6s is more competitive, I once made a fantasy ruleset for highlander
the system is far from perfect (pyros kept getting too many points), but here it is if it helps
awp v rifle is not THAT different overall (I guess in certain situations like say moto corner to arch where you might be jiggle peeking so as not to get peeker's advantage'd it's nerfed but not that much overall), but the update really fucked t side awpers attempting to peek into other awpers
for instance, the window peek on mirage used to be relatively t sided because of the spawns, but now I can legit see it swinging the other way just cuz of that extra time before accuracy
demoted will carry like fuck and he also sounds exactly like squid
Jaguar the reason people are -fragging you is that you take yourself, your team, and this game as a whole too seriously
xattuu keeps putting his foot in his mouth on the forums, which seems to be hurting his reputation, but he actually is a very nice guy and clearly has potential as medic. I don't think anyone who has been on a team with him would characterize him as a rager or anything.
his biggest problem, from my experience, is his level of dedication and mindset. it felt like, on the spectrum of players from those who treat scrims exactly like matches to those who treat them like pugs, xattuu fell way too far towards the latter side of the spectrum. he would purposefully go for crazy medic frags at bad times, not to mention go afk or spend the entire rollout to mid talking about stupid shit. in matches, to his credit, he did try a lot harder, and some of the time this resulted in confident and strong play with good communication. however, when there wasn't a lot of time to prepare or he missed a lot of scrims due to irl busyness, it felt like he was rarely prepared enough to play a map in matches, because he didn't maximize the effectiveness of the scrim time he did have. if he realized just how important scrims are in getting everyone on the same page, learning your role in every mid fight, learning the way your pocket and demo and the rest of your team want to play a given fight, etc., he would instantly be competitive at at least a low-mid IM level. it's tough to instantly recommend him based on what I saw last season; however, at the same time, his problem seems to be a very easy one to fix if he just acknowledges the extent of it, and therefore gambling on him for your IM team might be worth it because I could easily see him turning over a new leaf in that regard.
I hope I've been fair and even-handed in this post.
