whymeoHuck-leeDo dog2 care?ex and cookiejake are both extremely upset by this and were looking forward to being in invite. this isn't an issue of a team not caring its an issue of having more than one weeb on a team
I heard that ex and cookiejake are the ones that left the team first???
u are uninformed brethren
saamdo it mustard
I assumed shikis team would be clamoring for it cuz they were in the poll already
also aim said something about wanting to rebuild with slemnish and arekk maybe
+ there's the slamberg team
there are options is all im sayin
if they're gonna ban the players associated if the slot dies, does that mean they just need to find a team willing to take their place and the ban doesn't happen?
or do they get penalized regardless for their specific team dying
Comangliawhy the fuck is basically no one paid up...
people have to go to their brokers and redesign their mutual funds first
getting paid to write articles was pretty sick, I miss those days
wasted my earnings on unusuals heh
bump, mainly just need a pocket or a demo who can hold their own in real IM
to clarify, when I said they had a big problem with their roster, I was talking about tagg
bl4nk has flaws on pocket but it's not like there are infinite pockets to choose from
but there are like 10 roamers who could be an upgrade over tagg
team will finish 3rd now prolly
still have some things holding them back from finishing higher than that
scheduling ahead of time with people on your friends list is still much much easier for every division above open
I'm sorry for the people who need to use discord to find games and are therefore hoping that actual good teams use it just to hope that it trickles down and eventually more bad teams use it too, but it has basically 0 advantages over just talking to people on steam and tons of disadvantages
some updates

SleepingLifethat's a 4 dog deal, highly recommend someone take advantage of all these dog savings
dog4 hype???
Just to be clear, there are a few rosters I have my eyes on and it partially depends on who I pick up, but if anyone has a roster that they ain't using + 2 people to fill in for a few games I would GREATLY appreciate it
I'm sure some payment scheme that doesn't involve you getting dicked over by premium/league fees could be arranged as well
this dude was a monster like 15 years ago
saamHueyLewisBuncha willfully ignorant people posting, go figure.
It's a plan to strengthen the league because the top has been dying out for the last 7 seasons and nobody in gold ever moves up because they're afraid of the few actual good teams on plat.
The thought being that forcing a larger division and Swiss scheduling will mean you'll still play mostly teams at your own level while getting a taste of those much better. Therefore you get decent competition and hopefully learn faster by playing those better teams.
What also might happen is, after a season, some lower level teams will fold but consolidate into better teams, keeping the best players. This is what happened last time the league was in this format.
The only downsides are that you don't get a meaningless gold medal, and plat loses it's round robin format, which was utterly pointless anyway because we played 4 different game-modes (payload, a/d, koth, 5cp) per season so scheduling wasn't ever fair.
Logically the decision makes perfect sense. Realistically though it's not going to help because the only reason the top is dying is because fewer high level 6s players care anymore. If about 20-30 IM+ level players decided to play it'd be the golden age of Highlander. 6s is better though so this is their only move.
I think the pants-on-head retarded decision making of Kumori is a pretty big reason that the league is dying. She's made so many wrong decisions over and over and over again it honestly is starting to feel intentional.
I don't think the league would have ever gotten to a point where this was necessary if someone who had any idea what the fuck they were doing was in charge.
Kumori took over from infinite, it's not like there isn't a proud tradition of stupidity going back years in ugc
I'd prolly have something to say about this, but I'm league and forum banned til november (what convenient timing) so I cannot join the party
