I've seen some streamers make their net_graph smaller, how is this done? Is it in the HUD itself or is it a console command?

Sorry to bump but I'm having some issues. When I join a server in any game my ping goes up by a hundred or so. My internet isn't terrible but it's tolerable for streaming, is there any way I can fix this?

drdonutmanGive your external router a static ip to the modem/router. I had this problem and that fixed it.
How would I go about doing this? I haven't messed with my router/modem much besides opening ports and that kind of thing.

drdonutmando you have uverse (or any isp with a modem+router) with an external router?
I have something similar to Uverse (Clearwire), but I disabled the internal firewall so it doesn't interfere with the router.

For some reason my Source games (TF2 and Dota, but not CS:GO) will randomly stop, then say Connection Problem for a few seconds or so, and then suddenly work again. It's extremely annoying because it usually causes me to die when in the middle of a battle or something. I've checked my connection and it's not dropping packets, and it doesn't do this for ANY other game, just those two Source games. I use Chris's bad network config on Dota, and none on TF2.
Any idea why it might be doing that? I just came out of an extremely infuriating game of Dota, in which I died about 4 times due to this issue.

TF2 gets randomly capped at 15 or 30 fps

I just experienced this. I am not on a laptop, not running any GFX card software, and my computer has always been on max performance. This has never happened to me before but just happened while I was DMing. It makes the game absolutely unplayable.
I just checked SpeedFan and the temperature on my GPU was 70C so it's not overheating (and even if it was the driver would crash first as a safety feature).

kaidusYou sure that server was up to date? Still works fine for me, just gives a 149 reading.
I just tried it and I got the same results as the redditor.
Unless it's always been like this, but I don't know.
