Well, I'm not too sure about your teacher's personality nor the area of study of the course you're taking so I don't know what advice to really give you besides some vague stuff.
Definitely don't blow the issue out of proportion and see if you can make compromises to get them to like you more.
If it's really bad and it's affecting your grades for no reason, you can speak to the administration for help.

Splitpackets require more CPU cycles, and packet compression reduces the likelihood of splitpackets being used.
AnyarKinda late to the party but -nosrgb causes unplayable issues for me even though it improves fps.
What it does is, it removes a lot of borders and makes the team selection screen one blank color, makes all classes invisible, and makes most weapons invisible (e.g. Market Gardener, though some like the Direct Hit are still visible). There's also a black line on the right side of my screen similar to https://i.imgur.com/wdsMYUK.jpg (from #130).
Removing that launch option fixed the issue. I use Dx81.
Yep, it's supposed to be something for really bad computers so they can squeeze out every last bit of FPS.

So my experience is that the difference is negligible, but it does seem to help performance when I'm recording ingame.
Are you using the igpu addon? Also, what preset are you using?
aurahdoes leaving -dxlevel in your launch options cause issues? and if so why?
It increases startup time and resets some settings every time you load.

ik the refresh command is pointless but I don't imagine it hurts
edit: I'm also getting the occasional microstutter that I wasn't getting without a config
full, w, h and refresh should do hurt, as they can force non-optimal video modes for the material system. It's better to set video settings in the options.

HazzordEver since a couple weeks after Jungle Inferno hit. My game is constantly freezes on Sending client info with no response whenever I connect to pug servers (i.e pugchamp tf2c and faceit). It just stays like that and I can't alt+F4 neither.
I have downloaded the latest version of your config 5.13 and use the comfig, igpu, and maxperformance preset.

SiiLVERIf that disables blood coming out of a cloaked spy after getting hit with the Tribalman's shiv will i still see him blink?
It just turns on low violence mode and thus replaces blood with a low violence version. Blinking is unrelated to the blood effect, it just occurs on damage.
maniacalI added the resolution launch options a while back when I used dx8 and it would automatically use the lowest 16:9 resolution. I’m still not sure as to what is causing this performance decrease.
But what about the -threads option?
Also, resolution changes if you keep the -dxlevel option in, instead of adding it for first launch and then removing it.

Don't use -threads at all, as it's only useful if you have 6 cores or more. -threads specifies the number of worker threads, which are additional threads to the 2 threads the engine already uses. By using -threads 4, you are telling the engine to use a total of 6 threads, which will overwork your CPU. Using any value below -threads 4 is useless, as the engine automatically allocates up to 3 additional threads according to your hardware, so just remove the launch option.
Also, I would recommend setting your resolution inside the game's video settings and removing -w and -h, as they are known to mess with the material system's performance.
You can try m_limitedcapture_workaround 1.
What are your launch options? Also, keep in mind that the net_graph reduces your FPS. A less intensive option for measuring FPS would be cl_showfps 1.
maniacalI am using Mastercoms’s config with no preset, which is basically default settings excluding mat_phong 0 (I don’t prefer shiny objects).
What version of the config are you using?
Veccidk if this'll fix it but it works for me
go into yr sound folder in tf2 and delete sound.cache
whenever i start dropping frames I do that and it seems to fix it for some reason
