Professor Hulk is a pretty well known comic book series and rendition of bruce banner, Im glad they ended up adding him in the end :)

Nursayglassi watched the best team in the world + uncle dane try and fail to push upward last against a vacc machina. its burned into my brain
To be completely fair, this wasn't due to the unlocks they were running. It was mostly due to our team really not knowing how to push that last point. Upwards last even in HL is really annoying to push against people who get a proper hold set up. Our team didn't run Vaccinator (I forget if we had a sniper during last) and we held it even better than they did.
The only complaints I have is that there are certain unlocks that are mandatory to run. The Disciplinary Action and Machina are pretty much mandatory to run if they're allowed. Jarate + Mad Milk has caused zero issues for us. We never really played against a proper engie main on a proper team to see if Wrangler + Rescue Ranger was absolutely broken.
Part of the problem as well is maps like upward are absolutely not suited for 6v6, too much ground to cover, too many positions to deal with etc etc

stop pick banning during scrims

easy fix is you just use the ESEA playoff veto system, you both get to not play something you dont want to play and you both get to pick something you do want to play, its a simple 5 minute solution to all this.
I've been doing this with most of my scrim opponents lately and its worked out great and everyone was happy to cooperate :)
EDIT: here you go, save the copy pasta and message your opponents before the game!
The map pool is: cp_sunshine, cp_metalworks, cp_granary_pro_rc8, koth_product_rc8, cp_process_final, cp_gullywash_final1, cp_snakewater_final1, cp_badlands, cp_propaganda_b13
The high seed decides which team is Team A and which team is Team B.
1) Team A remove a map
2) Team B remove a map
3) Team A pick the first map of the best of three
4) Team B pick the second map of the best of three
5) Team A remove a map
6) Team B remove a map
7) Team A remove a map
(?) Team B remove a map
9) The final remaining map will be the third, if required, map of the best of three.

speedyProSkeezalso didnt you play IM on main classes and lose ? #faintspeedyinvite dying because we wont play just wont happen its always a threat that it will die but it will always get enough teams and also why would you think its comical when we would still win in the end by getting to play against a lot less tryhard teams and win most matches? the whole point of this team is to just play tf2 without putting our souls into it every night even if IM and invite get combined it wouldnt change that, why not just have a team looking to improve play invite as it would help them improve way more than playing IM also kev boar and I already saved invite once lets see u do it bud
everyone knows your team is going to try their hardest to win once playoffs roll around

Im not one to defend this kinda of stuff, but tbh FAINT was one of the only teams that actually stuck to their offclassing throughout the entire IM season when they played down a division and they still stuck to that even when they were losing in the finals against (RAD), every other "friend" team that does this and says they want to "chill out and have some fun" literally like 4 maybe 5 weeks before they all main class and try to win. Stock's team did literally this exact same situation last season and ended up winning.
Some other recent examples was Meat Market season 29 (won IM), MAL Season 29 (2nd), who both changed their rosters dramatically from beginning to end of season.
Yes this is the last season of ESEA and yes you're obviously free to play with whatever roster you want in whatever div you want. That being said when there is a division on the line, it shows your lack of competitive integrity to not want to compete for that spot, which obviously is your choice and not against the rules but it is a spot that your quality level of players belong in. I've been in the situation plenty more times than most people where my roster has had to endure invite to keep the division alive and ya, it does suck, and passing it off as an opportunity to a low or mid IM team isn't a good thing ESPECIALLY when you know you're the roster that should be there instead of a team you are far better than.
Just my 2 cents, I'm not explicitly saying what you should and should not do as it is your choice in the end, but there will still be an invite division after ESEA and this situation may or may not ever change.

Signed up for this with 0 expectations, was really surprised how fun it turned out to be and some really cool metas and strats developed over the season, was very cool to see.
Hopefully more full high level teams will sign up for the next season and realize the game mode is actually pretty good in an organized setting
