i get crashes randomly during playing (and at the SAME POINT each time in benchmark2 which ran fine with my old autoexec) after using -autoconfig and execing the default cfg and my autoexec
stuff i've set to try to fix it:
mat_queue_mode "-1" (instead of 2)
cl_threaded_client_leaf_system 0
mat_reducefillrate 0
mat_mipmaptextures 0
also, my model details and a few other things stay at low in options after using -default or -autoconfig :///
doesn't setting forcefade to 1 fix it?

to this day, i still think that irc is one of the most straightforward things to use
In my experience, many people struggle with the initial setup of IRC and the use of text commands. It's probably a little more involved than they are used to. Also, I think a lot of "How to setup IRC" tutorials are very lengthy/detailed, so there may be more perceived difficulty than actual difficulty.
That being said, people these days really just want to be able to put in a username and click a big green "Go" button. They don't want to worry about knowing commands or doing a bunch of extra stuff, which I think is totally fair. Simplicity is really nice.
Granted, there are clients for IRC that make it that simple. I like to use KiwiiIRC sometimes, it's pretty neat.
Quakenet irc (for tf.wars) has a gui web interface that lets you message people by clicking their names. Though this does take a bit of introducing and would probably still put some people off.

The only option for combo Pyro now is Reserve Shooter, and God knows how long that will work because no doubt B4nny will cry about that too.

you must have received the time machine from someone or created it. if you then go back and give it to yourself then you have 2 time machines, then 4, then 8. you have an infinite number of time machines. that's more interesting and actually makes sense

this is on dxlevel 90 btw, using a modified version of rh4psody's which i can upload if you want. not sure how it behaves on dx 8 (phong is forced to 0 then i think?)

There's also quirks with the format of the audio, tf2 only likes mono files at 48KHz apparently though it seems to be inconsistent...
