Well the saloon subreddit seems to be more for admin and announcements although I guess you do have a point.

Cherry, have you ever given thought to a tf2 betting subreddit? It'd be a good place to discuss all the matches on the site without clogging up tftv or the r/saloontf subreddit (sort of like what r/csgobetting does, you could even do some sort of sponsorship/association with them).

edit: you should also setup tbd vs tbd bets so people actually have time to bet on games that don't take long to start (we barely had like 10 minutes to bet on elevate vs madmen)

I played with Griff before in his pugs and had lots of fun. Then I played with him on a team. At first he was just a bit odd; showing us his famous singing, coming up with random business ideas, just a bit of weird stuff. I didn't have a problem with that; he had good comms and OK DM. He also had a lot of energy and always wanted to scrim, which are good qualities for me. However, towards the end of his tenure, he started to comm less and less and didn't seem like he wanted to play anymore. He started to be more confrontational with the team (although partially because we blamed his lack of comms on a match loss, which was by far not the only reason) and left shortly after after telling moolkey he did not want to play anymore.

From my perspective he's odd, energetic, good for open when he gets in the groove, but easily disillusioned and doesn't seem to take criticism well. After reading the other posts in this thread though I would advise to proceed with caution.

How good Techdude's team does depends on how serious they play; if they do take it seriously they could be a serious contender for the title, but if it's a fun season I could see 5th-6th tops honestly.

Also, don't count out tony jawk. Even with some class swaps if they fill in the holes on their roster with some competent players they could be a really good team.
