i want to post again saying i really liked trying out for these guys. they are all really fun gamers with really good dm. they do need an experienced caller/caller in general but i can see these guys making it deep into playoffs with the right pick ups.
viper is a super funny cool dude and echoing what others have said he has a substantial tilting problem, however if he fixes it which im sure he can he will do well in high open/low im.

thanks a lot for the help setsul. ill continue on with this build.
do i have to change anything else in the build if i got the 1080?
Setsul#1841
Nope, works as it is.
Keep in mind due to rebranding shenanigans the BenQ ZOWIE XL2411 (I wish I put those caps for emphasis, but they actually went with CAPS) which is the exact same is cheaper than the BenQ XL2411Z. It's 289$ on newegg, didn't look anywhere else so far.
Like I said, you could get a "nicer looking" case and easily a GTX 1080 if you wanted to.

price and performance difference between 1070 and 1080? it would probably be worth it to go with the 1080 since its in my budget right?
i would definitely overclock it. and i think im going to go with the 6700k and the 1070 with the BenQ XL2411Z. is there any changes i need to make to the part list like a different cooler and mobo?
