a lot of people are going to give you tough love kind of shit because that's all they really know, and unfortunately its more complicated than "just snap out of it." tough love doesn't help unless you have a very specific mindset and personality.

sounds like depression to me, in which case telling someone that its their fault only really makes it worse.

i don't have a solution and really nobody else does, the best thing i can recommend is to try and find a close friend you can confide in and trust (even if they're online or something and you can't actually hang out with them), and if that's not an option try to find a therapist even though i know that can be pretty scary. i'm assuming you've tried talking with your parents because who hasn't??

what helps me is making sure people know that the best way to help me out is to show sympathy, not offer solutions because odds are they haven't really been there
