#53 What pub community did you come from? in Off Topic
SheoThe now dead, and long dead. ProTF2. Nothing Pro about that community, funnily enough they were all bad.

ProTF2 24/7 Coldfront was the best server in 2010. I remember I took a hiatus in 2011 and when I came back the community was gone. I was so sad.

#131 My FPS config in Customization

So I've been crashing about once a day since I switched back to this cfg. I was using Rhapsody's for a few months but switched back a few days ago. I've been crashing daily since.

I'll be in the middle of a match and my tf2 will just close without warning. hl2.exe doesn't stop responding, it just closes.

Also, I've been getting a weird particle glitch where it frequently shows players as overhealed even though they have low health.

#123 The Keyboard Thread (last updated Sep. 24, 2013) in Hardware

I bought the Razer BlackWidow Tournament Edition Stealth on a whim during black Friday for a cheap $50. It won't ship until the beginning of January so I'm reconsidering my decision.

I've never owned a Razer product and have always avoided them due to their reputation. Has anyone here used the Razer Orange Switch? I'm really curious to see if it's worth it. Note: any keyboard is an upgrade from my current.

Ideally I would like a keyboard that is great for both gaming and typing since my day is split 60/40 between work (writing) and games. Also 10-keyless. I've had my eyes on browns for a while, but I'm not sure.

So my main point is: should I test out the Razer or get a different keyboard all together? My budget pretty much caps off at $100-$120. If Razer is really just awful for mechanical keyboards what do you guys recommend? Bonus points if the best deal is on Amazon.

hoboyour ugc team isn't even good enough for steel, why would any one of us high IM players want to help you. you raged quit in a game because you couldn't counter snipe me. you're average at best, i've seen better pub soldiers and snipers than you. lose the ego and attitude, you won't last on any team with it.

Only 5 logs on his profile (all from tf2center)
77 frags as sniper in a hl lobby
2 vac bans

#14 144 hz right for me? in Hardware

Went ahead and bought the Asus VG248QE which is $219.99 on Newegg right now.

Thanks for the convincing everyone and especially thanks to the people who gave some in-depth information.

#9 144 hz right for me? in Hardware
ComangliaFor other games you should definitely get a new GPU, I've owned a 6850 most new games on medium settings you'll get like 40-50fps thus not much of a benefit.

Any recommendations? Are AMDs still good quality for a budget?

#5 144 hz right for me? in Hardware

I guess I'm pretty much asking if I will be able to use a 144hz to its full potential (i.e. getting at least 144 fps in games and what not)?

#1 144 hz right for me? in Hardware

With all the huge sales coming up I was just seeing if it was worth it to upgrade to a 144 hz monitor with my current setup. Everything I have is a few years old and discontinued.

CPU: i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz
GPU: Radeon HD 6850

Current monitor: ASUS VS248H-P

Any feedback appreciated.

#2 STV crashing server in Q/A Help
dashnerWindows servers with SourceMod are confirmed not working with STV and causing crashes.

https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=2203666#post2203666

Linux servers seem fine however. Just tested 4G's server for the cast tonight and it's STV and SM functions are working.

That's a real bummer, but thanks for linking me that.
