im not saying that i want to change quake, im saying that (unlike 6s for example) there are very few "beginner" players, so you'd be hard pressed to find a game where you're not getting knowledge gapped by a 40 year old with 16000 hours in the game, thus making it frustrating.

diemossame issue as tekken everyone whos played since they were kids have so much legacy knowledge and skill it gatekeeps a huge amount of people that wanna try out but cant keep up and get discouraged by boomers
this pretty much nails it on the head, as a zoomer who wants to play afps games, getting curbstomped by some guy with parkinsons because he knows exactly where and when items will spawn and i dont is very frustrating

i have a ibanez electric acoustic, some random mitchell guitar from craigslist (yes it has a broken string), and my jackson pj bass
i havent played much guitar recently, ive been focusing on bass and its been much more fun.
the bass has insane fret buzz if you try and play the g string on the first 3 frets, and has dogshit pickups, but it was cheap and i suck at it (for now) so its whatevs.

crackbabydumpsterplease dont tell me the only person developing a pug service in NA added an extra character to their API key or something, assumed that serveme.tf had some weird vendetta against them, and then wasted a bunch of time making an inferior service to give us less servers
perhaps only having one volunteer guy trying to make a full stack web app is not ideal for efficiency.
i have a sneaking suspicion that there are many more silly bugs in the pug site's code, unfortunately nobody will ever know because rgl refuses to open source anything.
this isn't a knock on you dolphin, unless of course you're the one keeping the source code hostage for some reason, its a herculean effort to have made it this far, i just cant rationalize someone in your position refusing community help to this degree.
