Set in the year 2052, a young woman from the Anorexkimo tribe must venture out onto the ice to fish for food as her tribe has always done. Since the ice has thinned due to global warming, she is the only woman in the tribe capable of fishing without falling through the ice. On one of her fishing journeys, she runs into a woman from the Bullimuit tribe who shows her how to purge her food. Since she is required by her tribe to maintain a certain weight, she understands the significance of this technique. She heads home and shows the technique to the elders, only to be immediately punished for wasting food. "It is against the will of the gods", she is told. In secret, she keeps purging until she realizes her teeth are starting to rot. She makes the connection and visits the Bullemuit tribe to look for answers, only to receive a "hewwo" from her old friend.
