fenthese people will prolly be the best nonsandbaggers in open
did maelstrom not play soldier in invite this season?
he's also a 5pinger...
i get that you have to account for the sail scout (yikes) but that doesn't change the fact that the rest of the team has all played in IM
FFygThis team should probably be playing in IM :/, outside of that this team will probably be the best team in open.
I wouldn't count on it
with the current state of invite, open is looking pretty ripe for harvesting...
realtalk tho tojo is actually mad chill and good at the game
7:41 Nightbot: https://clips.twitch.tv/b3arodactyl/SmoggyHarePazPazowitz HES NUTS
VulcanyttriumThen the trick still works. So popup set your fov to any negative number and you should be fine.VulcanWhen did they restrict? This trick was still working about a week ago.literally two years ago
if you type "viewmodel_fov -360" it might appear to "work" but it doesn't actually set it to -360
now sure how you made that conclusion but even if you were right it's not what op was looking for
what you're describing is the same as putting the fov to 0 which takes away the beam altogether
if you cared to actually read the title of the thread you'd have noticed that he specifically asks how to make the beam less bright not how to remove it
Vulcanwhy are you using chris's?
and you can set your viewmodel fov to -360 and turn off viewmodels, this is also useful on pyro.
valve restricted viewmodels fov from 0 to 180 a little while ago so this is no longer possible
pretty sure it will just go to 0.001 (or whatever the lowest possible value is) instead
they're both mad chill and pretty good at the video gamery
SeemsGood
I remember back in the days of irc pugs alanny used to be a lil squeaker who played tf2 mix all the time and was like low open
then he disappeared for like 2 years and when he came back he was no longer 13 years old :o
he's improved quite a bit in the little time he's been back
good attitude and dm but most importantly he is no longer a complete robot (sorry alan but you used to be v bad at clicking foes in the team tobus 2 mix pick up gaming internet relay chat channel)
CampyLooking to play demo for a low-mid IM team next season

for some reason the loadout switch bind sometimes has quite a bit of delay whereas switching class is instant
also pretty sure that as a medic you can back spawn while retaining ubercharge (like if you changed your hat) which is against the rules as far as I know (maybe not in etf2l)
on certain maps it can be somewhat useful for engi because it refills your ammo without killing your gun (on gully for example where the resup cabinet is all the way in the back of spawn it's way faster to use the loadout switch bind)
on badlands and snakewater it can spawn you on the opposite side sometimes which is problematic
a high tier meme that it allows is you to spam cow mangler alt fire shots from spawn
for example on badlands last you can sit inside spawn and ignite anyone who tries to push bottom left (if they send two soldiers bottom left to try and sync the ceiling you already have your finger on the respawn key so you can just teleport away if you are quick enough at reacting, only problem is a scout can slip through cause you're not actually watching the door half the time)
or on snakewater you can prefire drop down/shudder where they're pushing and hope to meme somebody and if it does move you to right side you just get crit heals and a full clip/health so there's like no downside
to explain the class switching there are a few ways to do it but I think the easiest way is just to have in each class config a key bound to +respawn which goes to a random class and -respawn goes back to the class you switched from
so when you hit the key it swaps you to the other class instantly and then upon releasing it you switch back to the first class (useful for forward spawning cause you just hold it down till the control point has been captured)
not on my pc arm so can't paste the exact code
alternatively you could just do it manually by hitting comma and a number key (or bind the number pad keys to swap to classes to avoid having to hit comma)
i was watching a seagull demo review from a year or two ago and he was like yeah it's probably one of the most under utilized scripts in tf2 no idea why anyone doesn't use it
why would u not want to play pocket scout it's literally ez mode u get 185 all the time and u look at shit and it dies
https://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/jtv_user_pictures/chansub-global-emoticon-8e128fa8dc1de29c-24x18.png
he can get kinda tilted when he dies (at least in aids pugs and when tino was their medic and they lost to percy but to be fair their whole mumble seemed to be triggered by the fact that they were losing)
also in s21 he would voluntatily join mumble just to listen to mustardoverlord do hour long map reviews in his free time, take that as you will
says something about his patience and drive to improve if nothing else
good at jumping and not a robot
solid dentist would recommend v chill as well
only criticism I can think of is that he can bait hella hard in pugs and sometimes milks uber too much
on a scale of 1 to slin id say hes probably a 5 as far as baiting is concerned
for real tho he's pretty good and has improved quite a bit recently
there's no way viperstriker2011 makes it past semis goldfish can't be that washed up
alderhere's a criticism: you stink like poo bc u don't shower
wrong thread
here you go
http://www.teamfortress.tv/30902/saam-lft
it's called open for a reason
playing on a team is definitely the best and most enjoyable way to improve as far as 6s is concerned
as someone who played pug music almost exclusively for the better half of their time in tf2 i know where he's coming from
theres nothing wrong with taking the game less seriously and just playing pugs if that's what makes you happy
but don't fall into the trap of waiting untul you've improved enough to "graduate" pugs because that will never happen and as time goes by you'll find yourself in roughly the same place you started because there's ultimately a limit to how coordinated a pug team can get over the course of 30 minutes
it can be useful to learn the basics and practice mechanics is and basic calls/gamesense but that can never replace playing on an actual team
TL;DR join a team before it's too late and you've been sucked into the black hole that is playing open pug medic
