gloperzI am currently using the minmode version of this hud. However, when I join ESEA matches the ready/not ready text is slightly too far to the left, as shown here: http://i.imgur.com/xPL2DbA.jpg What is the name of this element so I can shift it to the right?
That's CenterPrintText in clientscheme.res/fonts.res, and it's solely controlled by the plugin(s) the server is running. It can't be repositioned.

Valve should use meet the series for tutorials

if the "meet the" series were to be used as a tutorial, then new players will overestimate every classes' abilities. the thing about "meet the" videos is, they don't really showcase each classes' limits/weaknesses and that's vital to game knowledge
it's crucial that new players get familiar and comfortable with tf2 within a reasonably short time frame after first playing.

cantibLathe old layout was outdated by a decade, its change was due
to some extent i agree but they literally fixed none of the issues of the old layout
ads still take up more screen space than the actual news/content, the layout itself still feels cramped like it was made for 4:3 displays, still no POV demos or 1.6 stats, some features were removed for no reason (Fan Center/Blogs), etc.
it just looks like some mediocre third-party "Metro" userstyle for the old site instead of a proper overhaul
while i feel like a few more layout changes could've been made, a website style change was a huge step in the right direction
