#19 huds.tf needs volunteer guide writers! C'mon kids in Customization

I guess I'll do a guide on borders, I'm not sure how long it will take but I'll get started soon.

#31 New pc is laggy in Hardware

The CoolerMaster212 is still a really good choice as a CPU cooler and doesn't break the bank at all. I've got my 2500k @4.5ghz maxing at @~76 with one.

Anyone know how to change the borders so that they are not curved? I can't seem to find it in HudTournament.res.

Isn't it "HudTournamentBG"? I haven't touched that file in a long time, but I believe it's that. Change "draw_corner_width" and "draw_corner_height" to "0"

It isn't, changing HudTournamentBG doesn't affect the borders.

To change this I went into clientscheme and removed every border basically from the game.

Go into clientscheme and look for TFThinLineBorder, I'm not sure which one it is but I just changed
"draw_corner_width" "0"
"draw_corner_height" "0"

from their default values to 0. The greybox ones above the one I used as an example is the tournament spec hud boxes that show when people are dead. It's not the best approach but it worked.

I've got free time to write an article but I'm really not sure what to do. If anyone has any suggestions just reply here or add me on steam.

I added low/buffed health borders, I saw it in another thread but figured I'd post here.

Both here

Red/white border when low health and blue/white when buffed.

NuI currently run Jak 3 Any%/All Missions, actually pb'd 10 minutes ago! also been considering picking up Zelda Oracle of Ages. As far as watching its mostly just Mega Man, and other Jak runners, as well as people like ssbmstuff and obdajr.

If you pick up Oracle of Ages I'd definitely watch a stream, the gameboy zelda games don't really get the attention they deserve.

I've been considering running games for ages but I can't decide on any particular one. I'm currently between alttp and Halo:CE, SGDQ didn't help with choosing at all.

#12 What happened to mge servers? in TF2 General Discussion
serv0I think its just TF2 comp on a decline at the moment, which is causing most competitive based servers like mgeit, dm, etc to have a lower player count.

That may be true but it's also the summer so most people will be either on holiday or just taking a break from TF2 for a while and enjoying the time off.

Hergan5HerbsIf it's not too time consuming/difficult, can a proficient HUD editer out there help me to create the exact same version of EVE_HUD, except for the low ammo notification to make the whole text go red and have a flashing border as well. (the default is too subtle for me)

If anyone can help me and post a zip with it edited in the latest EVE_HUD download, I'd be very grateful!

Cheers

What do you mean exactly?

I guess change the hudanimation for ammoFGcolor to flash between normal and 255 0 0 255. The border could be either a full screen border flashing or just a box behind the ammo that flashes red. If I wasn't doing my own hud stuff atm I'd do it.

Not really a HUD mod but the HUD isn't really ready for release quite yet and I'd like some feedback. I have two versions, the first is the original version of the HUD and the second is one that's a little more classically styled (like m0re and broesel).

Out of interest, why not use p-rec? I get that at LAN it's the esea computers so you might not be able to install it there for some weird reason (Even though you can install HUDs). Why not during the regular season?

Almie_KermitDoes this mean that NaFs QL movie is nearly done? Genuinely so happy to see him back doing TF2 edits, they're some of my favourites. I have full faith that this will turn out as well as all of his other edits.Dude, NaFs QL movie has been out for almost 2 months :D

KidIpzSonnyBlack has an eye on it.

cave is called dragons-vagina btw

I believe it is called Gandalfs cave. I've only played the map once but it was pretty enjoyable, my only gripe was with the spawn times on last. I know that the distance from spawn to the point is small so a higher spawn time makes sense, I just think that they're a little too high. IMO of course.

b4stianBigaNo marked for death icon.Yes i noticed that myself, i have no experience with it though, i've been doing some research on it and apparently it's controlled in a really akward spot... I'm working on it, no worries ^^

If you don't use a health cross it's really easy to position the icons themselves. You set the cross itself to visible 0 and use the xpos from that to position the icons. The ypos can be from the icons themselves or the healthicon.
