where do people play pugs? i haven't seen an alive site in ages

There's apparently a G305 X coming out (54g?) the release date is unknown but it is out in China.

The MCHOSE G3 is supposedly a better alternative, but much like with all Chinese clones the software will be useable but poor, you'd probably just make your changes and never run it again anyway.

I would avoid Attackshark like the plague, by far the worst manufacturer of Chinese clones along with AJAZZ.

At the moment the industry it all over the place with loads of Chinese companies just cloning the popular mice, niche companies taking part in the ultralight weight war and major companies doing almost very little...

My main recommendations that should be within your budget:
Ninjutso Ten Air (one of the best internally designed mice on the market)
Scyrox V6 (40g, affordable and a great shape)
MCHOSE G3 (just a G305 clone)
OP1 (has flatter
Part of me would suggest getting a SUPERLIGHT 2c, as they fixed the dogshit mouse feet, but the M3 button is still faulty. If you can get it for cheap you could go for it though if you don't use the M3 button as much.

The don't have all the shapes available (they seem to avoid clones which is understandable) but it allows you to actually get a better idea of the shape. ELOShapes is great to get numbers and a quick glance, but it's just outlines and you can't see the side angles.

Still reading malazan book of the fallen... On the last three in the series, it's incredible but I'm tired... There's 25+ books set in the same universe...

I either need to up my reading output or pick smaller series...

DUNE: Read the first one, was pretty decent, unsure if I'll continue with the others in the series as yet.

I read The First Law and The Age of Madness series (including the stanadlones) by Joe Abercrombie. Really enjoyed this series, the characters are really well done with each having a uniqueness to them, although one does seem to get a bit repetitive... It's pretty gory and grim with no real happy endings for anyone.

I finished WOT. Which was a massive slog, by the end I just powered through it like I was shitting my guts out after getting food poisoning. Some moments were really cool and enjoyable, others felt really rushed and suddenly cut off. I also realised that the guy(s) can't write romance or anything to do with women that well.

Finished the stormlight archive as well, which was alright, I think it's rather overrated. There were some great moments in the books, some interesting concepts that I wanted to read more of, but other than that some of the character progression just seemed really sudden and out of the blue. It also read like there was a bit of "fan service" going on as some stuff just seemed really out of place.

Currently reading Malazan Book of the Fallen. And it's really good but INCREDIBLY complicated sometimes, it's a bit like the China Mieville books but slightly more contained in universe and a lot more of them. At the moment I'm really enjoying the books, I'm on the fourth currently. Unsure if I'll read the spinoffs afterwards.

Want to read: House of Leaves
And some Adrian Tchaikovsky books seem really intersting.
At the moment I'm mainly reading fanasty and sci-fi books. I'd want to branch out a bit more at some point to other genres.

to add to this, there was a bug on one of the versions (unsure if its still there) that actually made projectiles (specifically stickies) act like there was water in water ...so they wouldn't go as far, despite there being no water in water... SPOOKY!!!

what we really need is a mod that makes tf2 an e-sport

look for operator chairs, they are designed for work environments and are tested to higher standards than most consumer office chairs. They come with a longer warranty because they are often tested for continuous usage.

The only downside to these I guess is that you really shouldn't sit like a goblin on them, they are designed to have you in the correct sitting position so will be uncomfortable if you sit like gollum sometimes.

For me at least I think a pug system can be successful with the following:
- Game not starting within 5 minutes will end the pug and ban the players who didn't join for 24 hours. Don't add up if you're not ready to play. It's not that hard.
- 24 hour ban if subbed after a certain amount of games (3 subbed = 24 hours ban, then reset)
- Clear mumble channels after game ends. It was really annoying joining a mumble channel to play and it's filled with 5+ people from the last game screaming at each other. Just move everyone to a post game channel afterwards.
- Mirror bans from ETF2L.

I like the idea of having captains at peak times and having ELO tied to games that are captained at least.

I think the biggest challenge is the moderation. And I think it actually applies a lot more to the B pugs mainly. As those are the ones that end up just getting ruined by a captain that was desperate to put themselves on scout.

The system where if you got 5-0'd you got a captain ban was a good idea. But I'd like to see a decent report system for players/captains. Not to report for the skill level part but mainly for the behavior.
