This game came into my life when i lost my father ( and best friend) to cancer. He was one of the kindest people i have ever had the luck of meeting. Subsequently I have suffered from mental illness and suicidally. Last year I was admitted to a mental hospital or treatment center 22 times in total. I spent more time alienated from society and family than not. Many times, often following suicide attempts, I lost nearly all legal rights for self advocating my own treatment. Through my years of playing this game i find more often than not many people use Team fortress 2 as an escape from reality. Being a small community, you often will know just about everyone that plays this game in the comp sphere. While we don't all get along, have our community drama, I thank you all for being part of my life. I'd like to extend my thanks to hope. Hope this year will be your best year. I would also like to congratulate you all on making it another year. Nothing is guaranteed in life, so it does us best to guarantee to try.
