PheeshClass limit wise I seem to recall the initial limits people came up with were a max of 2 per class...as I remember a team using 2 medics on more than one occasion. By the time that first tourney happened I think the medic limit was set at 1, not sure about the demoman..

Prior to the first tourney, it was pretty much a universally agreed rule that it should be 1 medic, 1 demo, 2 of everything else for class limits. However, Europe decided (for nearly a year, maybe a little longer) that it should be 1 medic, 2 of everything else. When players from NA pretty much said "demoman limit of 2 is fucking stupid and overpowered," Europe's excuse was "it's not overpowered, it's just that no one has found a counter for it yet." l0l.

dfythat's awesome, i figured someone would remember that far back. animeman was great, played a little bit of everything right? was around when coL was really dominate for quite some time

Yeah he played a little bit of everything, but primarily soldier. He was a backup for coL but played for them at s5 LAN as scout when enigma couldn't go. He didn't do amazing mostly because he didn't play much anymore, but he had short notice when told he was needed for LAN. Incredibly chill guy, though.

dianadid animeman ever go by a different alias? i could have sworn he was called something else way back when i started getting interested in comp, but every time i try and find out, it doesnt lead anywhere

The only other in-game alias he ever wore (to my remembrance) is Mythin, though his real name is Mithun.

MYLESTheFragileThis is gonna be awesome :D.I will bring both of my fightsticks if anyone wants to get dunked on in Super Street Fighter 4 or Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. Why not third strike? Parrying ftw yo

The ROM for 3s is on my netbook, but I'll make sure to put it on my PC. I don't really play 3s at all but I'll play if someone wants to.

I kinda wanna have tournaments for some of these fighting games, but on a dedicated console and not my PC lol.

thrasherStreeeet Fiiiiiighter?? Eeeewwwwwww. Tekken money matches anyone? ;)

Please leave this thread.

Speaking of money matches, I will do money matches for SF4 or ST.

#3 ESEA Season 14? in TF2 General Discussion

I don't think season 14 has been announced yet, because typically all ESEA users would receive an email about it. Dunno why that makes the website "shitty."

But yeah, about a month after LAN is when it starts.

#50 ESEA and Maps: A proposal in TF2 General Discussion
hookyPics of Granary Pro's changes:http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/920129449264168694/C38CDBE5D8698A7FB1214299BF0E59126968F8B6/http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/920129449264167992/203050C4DF7DA19C348BC914FFA44FC15BAA2FE8/http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/920129449264166797/325C6EDE69DF57C961F973B0EBC1BE80C4314100/Spawns also seem to stick to the left side unless it's filled.Edit: The doors at the spawn building exit/rocket room open/close slowly so they slow down scouts.

Wow, those changes are sick.

Also, not sure if this has been brought up, but is it possible to have shadows forced off via server-side? For some reason I don't think it's possible without a plugin, but I have a pretty good feeling that Valve won't care enough to fix the shadows issue.

#6 Who pioneered 6s in TF2? in TF2 General Discussion

If I remember right, I think animeman created a poll on Gotfrag about it. It was the first big discussion about it. I think the choices were 5v5, 6v6, and maybe one more choice. But yeah, 6v6 won by a mile.

You would still find some teams in beta asking for 5v5 in IRC, but I think people just liked 6v6 more.

So, yeah, animeman I believe.

#29 ESEA and Maps: A proposal in TF2 General Discussion

I love the idea of having pro versions of maps, but unmodified maps are really important too. It will feel very at home for any player trying to enter the competitive scene instead of seeing "_pro" at the end of a map name and wondering what's different.

If Valve could make these fixes that we want, then that would be very ideal so everyone has it instead of needing to download it. I can't imagine it would be an issue as long as a bunch of us send in requests. Otherwise, yeah, let's do pro versions.

Even though this version isn't a Valve official map, I would really like to see the competitive version of Viaduct so that a heavy can't shoot over the sign on that one side of mid.

#12 This is why you don't use the blutsauger... in TF2 General Discussion
kirbyI dunno how many times I've gotten 149 shots and couldn't follow up on it. It's the worst lol. This probably sounds weird, but I think when it happens it's usually when the rifle charge just hits the last bar. I've never seen this nor had this happen after letting it sit on the last one. Not too sure though, but it's really silly.

I think it's really silly that you can fully-charged bodyshot a medic to begin with, but I know what you mean.

thrasherRoodYTell fluffyanimal No! Do NOT tell fluffy! If you do he'll go on a 45 minute rant about how if you hit X amount of needles with the blutsauger you get a better regen then with the normal syringe gun. If you tell him he's wrong it's another 45 minutes. Can we please delete this thread before he sees it and calls me to rant?

I'll have this debate with him any day. I think there has only been one time where I used blutsauger over stock needles. I can't remember who it was exactly, but it was because the enemy scouts mindlessly rushed me down, especially if I tried to escape midfights (and this was before the overdose existed). Unless you're ringing for an awful team that can't protect you and you're constantly by yourself, then blutsauger is pretty bad.

Also, the argument of "if you hit X amount of needles with blutsauger, you get better regen" is not very valid. If your method of getting comparable regen to stock needles is to needle people instead of healing your team full of classes with much better dm than a medic has to offer, then you're a battle-medic, lol. Blutsauger is most useful if a class is rushing you down / suiciding on you, but the BEST case scenario is that you hit enough needles to make you survive one more hit (and that won't happen very often). The amount of times that you'll hit enough needles to survive one more hit is ridiculously worse than the stock regen has to offer overall (won't need to go back for healthpacks as often, survive situations such as the original post, can play more aggressively instead of waiting for your shitty regen to reach 4 hp per second, etc).
