My bad man, I don't think it was in my original edit tho. Reckon it was just continuing the title pun you getting shipped off so like abandon ship, not an attack on your decision at all. And I didn't know there were other leagues prior to ESEA. I knew there were like comp-pub teams but not any actual league, so that's on me for not doing enough research.

Nice work on the map, just some of my initial thoughts from jumping around exp b18, though I'll update this if my team scrims it before the season starts. I do like the change to the left entrance making it transparent, though I think it'd be cool if you made it where you couldn't check all of the cellar through the left grate, just a large/significant portion of it. Idk if back caps were something people commonly experienced on this map though.

Kinda iffy on the changes to second, obviously w/o playing it it's hard to tell but I do think it makes holding second a bit harder, which I think was already a challenge inherent in this map. Without the little platform on second, the area feels a bit no man's land/barren, and I think the positioning a defending team should take just gives too much free space to attackers. Also, it makes the roamer fast rollout significantly harder (admittedly biased as a roamer main). I think the ramps up to the second point is nice, but IDK how you would keep that and the platform w/o cluttering it up. If you keep the changes to the ramp/rock by the fountain on second, the only thing I'd say is to make that fence a bit higher so soldiers could bomb off of it into second as otherwise, the fountain seems a bit useless when pushing into second.

I feel like I'd have to play a game to get a feel of what the ramp to books would be like, or the improved ledge on mid, as it seems to stuff choke and books more.

Otherwise great work!

I dont think its super viable cause you have to get kinda close to the point + there are other bombs near there that allow you to get height/distance without exposing you to that much risk. Still cool and I could see some people using it to get cheeky garden picks.

edit: actually after jumping with it, it seems the best way to get from your valley to theirs directly unless their is a jump I dont know about, so maybe if you know they're all holding passive by kill box? still seems a bit situational.

I think its because when you exit/surface water, you get a little natural boost to help you exit it. Combined with a rocket jump, you can go flying.

Don't quote me on this tho, not too sure myself just what I've heard.

robingoeschirpthe fact that the mixer streamers received NO WARNING about this is kind of a dick move

When I last went on mixer's front page it was just a lot of people crying/ranting and furiously spamming their twitch links. While mixer was nowhere near as succesful as youtube/twitch it does highlight how for these 'jobs' youre essentially gambling your life to this one company/platform, and if they decide to screw you over, you're fucked.

It does matter lol bc even though this team is still really good and jay is an amazing replacement, it detriments froyo to be constantly changing their lineup. Compared to the start of last season they only have b4nny, habib, and arekk left. That has a big impact on their team cohesion and having to change a player during the season is far from ideal. Not to say this damns froyo to a confirmed second place, but considering how close ascent and froyo have been playing, doing changes like this is risky business.

glassdon't you have this backwards? i thought one of the reasons they implemented it was so that pub medics would start healing scouts, since they never did before.

i assume they still don't, but from valve's perspective it was worth a try because valve only cares about pubs.

At the time at lot of the changes were to make medic more enjoyable to play in order to entice people to play it in MM. Because MM doesn't have have any mandatory classes, and people can choose any class, it makes sense to make medic as enjoyable as possible so there are more people who are willing and actually like playing the class in MM, instead of just ending up with a no medic team, or bullying a player into going medic. The crossbow buff and medic movement were apart of that iirc.
