OsirisI found it almost impossible to watch on Twitch yesterday because every team fight looked like a Jackson Pollock painting, but today I'm watching it on MLG TV instead. The bitrate on MLG TV is 7 Mb/s for 720p@60fps(instead of 5 Mb/s on Twitch) and 12 Mb/s for 1080p@60fps(that is double Twitch's 6 Mb/s). Blizzard's signature oversaturated busy art style still isn't helping with visual clarity, but it is literally three times easier to follow for me on this higher bit rate. Your mileage may vary.
you can use overwatchleague.stream to view the MLG stream with twitch chat, if thats what you want for some reason

ymRaisinPlayers earn the right to be called professionals and be paid 6 figure salaries. They shouldn't get to play in the league just because they happen to be from a certain country. Nobody in the U.K. except for Numlocked and maybe Mike has earned the right to represent anyone in the OWL. If you want national representation, you watch the world cup. Pro leagues are for the players who are genuinely good enough to be pros.
boombox is in OWL and kruise could be, but youre probably just naming players that TFTV would know

i think the problem is is that these are supposed to emulate sports franchises where you build a fanbase and sell merchandise and shit
its not as obvious now but once teams have home and away locations it makes more sense
if youre a new viewer that knows nothing about overwatch going to a home game and seeing that your team is composed of 12 koreans who dont speak your language and are culturally very different than you can make it hard to get invested in the team and therefore the sport
i think the idea that an american org can buy the only european spot and instead of taking advantage of that fact and building a strong european roster, importing two korean rosters and mashing them together seems like a lazy decision that threw away the fantastic opportunity they had
