#9 LFT Roamer IM+ esea/cevo in Recruitment (looking for team)

We tried to make our team from last season work again but it fell short.

Bumping for a team that needs a roamer.

Great guy who plays the game a lot. He is a solid player with good gamesense. More than anything, he is extremely dedicated to helping the team improve and that is worth a ton.

Very impressed with testify. Solid player who is online a lot and has a good bit of experience. He will most likely instantly improve your team if you picked him up.

dflamex3Good luck boys! The Cancer is out of this team, should work better this season!
Who exactly was the "cancer?"

It doesn't really matter at this point. What does matter is we pushed through all season with a revolving roster of problems. I did my best to keep us going every week and and did not forfeit a single game last season. I think that shows a lot in today's TF2 community. Probably 90% of teams are just around for 1 season and most breakup at the first sign of trouble.

We wanted 6 players committed to the team for this season and we are close to having that.

#15 4v4 in TF2 General Discussion

4v4 should be played how we did it back in the early days of Quake and Quake 3 Fortress. Some of the most enjoyable and funnest games were in this format. Perhaps 4v4 can be used to bring CTF back a little?

Play it Off vs Def. Each team gets a turn attacking and defending for a set time period. Most caps wins.

#29 RIP QUN in TF2 General Discussion

I came across his videos when I first started playing. Dude is a really good scout but most of all I loved his HUD. I am not sure if he still uses the same one today but I had to get it after watching. I haven't switched since.

#1 LFT Roamer IM+ esea/cevo in Recruitment (looking for team)

Hello, I am looking to join a team as Roamer for the next season ESEA and/or CEVO. I would prefer to remain at least IM level but feel I could do just fine on a Main team as well.

I am an extremely competitive person who does not like to lose, however that never causes drama or blaming teammates. I take practice/scrim time seriously and am always trying to get better and improve. I do not like to jump around from team to team so I am also a loyal person who would want to build for future seasons. At 35 years old, I am ancient by TF2 standards but I never rage and am extremely reliable to show for practice/matches. (east coast)

I feel my DM is the strongest part of my game and I comm well. I watch a lot of demos to learn and pickup new tricks and styles from other players. Like everyone, I have plenty of things to improve and I am always willing to listen and learn as I pickup stuff quickly.

#212 ESEA and CEVO in TF2 General Discussion

To Mr_Slin and whoever else is all about LAN this and LAN that.

I have been around the TF community for longer than anyone else you can find. Not talking about TF2, I am talking about Quake and Quakeworld from 1996. I have been part of mostly every major league from MPlayer to QWTF to Quake 3 Fortress to Enemy Territory Fortress as a player and league organizer and I can tell you that the "community" does not live or die based off 4 teams going to a F'ing LAN.

If the players today can't find a reason to compete at the highest levels for nothing other than "going to LAN" then I am proud to say I played with the best TF players ever back in the days of QWTF. Back then we played for pride and for constantly getting better. The best prize we got was a full IRC channel.

You may not know me at all and that is fine. I'll stroke my own online genitals because back then I was the ego labeled "Invite" player for like 10 years straight. I have seen how this situation plays out over and over with every league and every TF community. The main thing keeping a competitive community alive is a stable and well organized league. It has NOTHING to do with offering a LAN. Nothing at all.

#206 ESEA and CEVO in TF2 General Discussion
MR_SLINhooky it just bothers me that CEVO doesn't guarantee us a LAN, and that's why i'm saying it's not worth the risk. TF2 doesn't die right away, but it does die the slow painful death of top teams leaving the game sooner than if there was a LAN to keep them there.

Your comment makes it seem like you and all other non-invite players play Comp TF2 because we want the invite teams/players to stay and have a LAN so our community keeps going.

Pardon me if I say that is completely retarded on every level.

#1 youtube video search in TF2 General Discussion

There was a video posted on youtube of a demoman pushing last on Badlands where he used all of his loaded ammo and did 0 damage but still managed to jump on to the point and win the round with the enemy team all around him killing his teammates.

Hopefully someone remembers this video and can find it by chance. I thought it was labeled as some huge TF2 fail but who knows. I know the video did go slow motion at some point as well. I would like to see it again if anyone can find it or remembers the video.

#36 Bible of MGE in TF2 General Discussion

I'll listen and consider what these large ego "invite" players have to say about 6v6 strategy and other things 6v6 related. When it comes to MGE, I'll practice the way I want and the way I feel makes me warmup better.

So in conclusion, either add up and play me or go find another arena.
