#18 vortex lft in Recruitment (looking for team)

I enjoyed playing with during S18. Solid scout with good DM abilities. On the right team his playstyle will shred opponents.

#37 3/30/15 S18 regular season lookback in TF2 General Discussion

How did you feel about your season? What were the good and bad points?

Blanc Esports had a good season IMO. Our goal was to make playoffs and qualify for IM next season. Hopefully we get moved up. Good point was watching our team develop from pre-season to mid-season where we changed for the better as we moved along. Bad point for me was playoffs. Not because we lost but because of roster and internet problems at the worst possible time. Those factors combined made it hard for us to practice and prepare for our matches.

What specific expectations did you have, and which ones got fulfilled? Which ones didn't?

Expectations were Playoffs and IM. Playoffs were fulfilled but we wait to see about IM

How do you feel about the logistics of playing scrims and matches?

Mostly a non-issue for me. I have tons of free time and an awesome wife that lets me do whatever I want. I can make mostly any scrim/match.

What do you think about the distribution of skill in ESEA?

I have no issue with the "skill" of ESEA divisions. My issue is more with the competitive TF2 community in general regarding roster changes mid-season and cutting players when playoff time nears. I am an old school TF player and the most taboo thing a team or player could do in the past was "clan hop" around. Players who did this were treated as outcasts and rarely were able to get into the good established teams. However, in TF2 this is a widely accepted way of life in every division. Perhaps I am out of the current loop but I value player / team loyalty greatly and sadly TF2 has very little to offer in that category.

Will you be playing in S19? If not, what is stopping you from playing again?

100% playing, don't care if it's Open again but I will be playing.

How do you feel about how ESEA compares to other leagues?

UGC is a joke, CEVO is Dead.
Being the only league, it would be wonderful if ESEA put on some TF2 events to spark more interest in our game but I know there is literally no chance of that happening.

Are there any specific resources you feel like would help you as a player?

I started this game 5+ years behind everyone else so I am still playing catch-up. That said, I watch a LOT of video on this game posted from other players, especially euro players. That resource has helped me greatly but I have yet to seek a demo review from an invite level player for any tips and critique of my play. Perhaps I should try and change that.

Would you recommend people to play ESEA? If so, under what conditions?

Simply put, ESEA is the only place to play competitive TF2 in a 6v6 format. If you value competition and want to improve, ESEA is your only option. I would have no choice but to recommend it.

What's your next goal?

As always, continue to improve myself and my team. I work full-time and don't have a ton of free time during the day to devote to playing the game. When I am playing TF2, I am usually always working on improving some part of my game. My ultra competitive personality is hard to hold back and I always feel like I need to get better.

#10 Blanc Esports LFP S19 in Recruitment (looking for players)

Tery said mostly everything perfectly. The only thing I would add is that we had an enjoyable time hanging out with each other during the season. Mumble environment was always good and even during hard times was constructive and never filled with drama. We will not stand for drama. This is something I would expect to continue for future seasons

Speaking for myself, I am extremely competitive and dedicated to improving. I like to surround myself with others who feel the same like my current teammates. So if you feel you are an IM capable scout that is mature and willing to dedicate the time to improve yourself, add Tery and lets put in some work this upcoming season.

#35 old shows you guys watched growing up? in Off Topic

Going to show my age on this one but my favorite childhood show ever was "Star Blazers". The beginning of the first episode pretty much explains everything in the first few mins. Constant fighting and action, fun memories.

#27 Top 10 TF2 plays of the year 2014 in Videos

I am usually not critical of this stuff because they are enjoyable to watch but as others have said, the Harb play at #10 is amazing and could probably be seen as the most clutch TF2 play ever. When you factor in that it was on LAN at I52, happened against one of top teams in the world and it was a Golden Cap situation to advance in the tournament just takes it to another level all together.

Lastly, you did not even include one part of the clip that was equally as good. Right before that last push, on 2nd point, Harb surfed then dodged a rocket from Yuki which got him to like 30 health. Holding that UBER when the best soldier on LAN is in your face took some balls of steel and it made the final push even happen. In all honesty, that part of the play alone was better than both Pyro plays.

I mean what the fuck, a retarded pyro airblasting people into a trench was #9. How in the world does that beat Harb's play? Sorry to drag on and on but 2 demos getting kills at a spawn door are supposed to be plays of the year? Seriously?

My advice for the future is, take the "context" of the play into account. When you spawn camp against random shit players and get 10 kills, it's not impressive and doesn't compare to killing the best players in the world on LAN. Context means everything. Regardless, I enjoy these plays of the week and thank you for taking the time to provide them.

So if you watch the beginning of this video the first 2-3 minutes. Is there any reason the players have a headset on their heads and also a 2nd headset on the back of the monitor? What is the purpose of the 2nd headset?
